Yeah agree, Spain as a team haven't helped him look good but even when he's had opportunities to do something he's flopped. Same with Lukaku.

To be fair to Costa this is the first Spain has played with a proper striker in their system. So can't really blame Costa for his performance.
You CAN laugh at it though. Goes through all the rigmarole of switching national teams from the most glamorous side in the world to the all-conquering World Champions, comes back to his home country for the World Cup and goes out as soon as possible. Utterly wonderful stuff. The only thing left is for Brazil to finally find some form and win the thing without him...

Yeah, Lukaku is such a massive disappointment at the moment. Tbh I hadn't seen a lot of his matches before but had heard and read all the hype about him and he hasn't delivered so far to say the least. Before the start of the WC there were even French supporters envying Belgium for him, saying they'd rather have him than Benzema

Costa shouldn't have changed national team and gone for Spain, they've paid the hard price for it. Karma's a bitch :P

Germany haven't played well yet imo. Portugal were atrocious in the first match against them.

US has a better German coach than Germany does and he wants to piitb.
Germany will have to play with nerves and it's at the same time the country they least want to get beaten by. Lahm has been shaky as fuck and they still prefer to have this dumb set up for the defence with four cbs and the US is quick and hard working. There's a good chance tbh.

Yeah agree, although I really don't believed he'd have done much better in the Brazil side, on an individual level.. obviously on a team level he would have.. they play similar football, Brazil are just playing much more creative and quicker on the attack. Costa in Brazil would just have been a better Fred and Fred doesn't work because of the way he plays (and hes a sack of shit). Neither Spain or Brazil really work efficiently with a poacher who just stands around upfront waiting to be played in. A lot of defensive teams in the WC are playing narrow football which isolates the center forward.. its why many of that style of striker have failed to perform as well as most expected.

I'm predicting similar scorelines, I've bet on:

Croatia win + both teams to score
Brazil game under 3.5 goals
Holland win + both teams to score
Spain -1
74/1

That's the thing with racism when you're branded a racist people remember it long after they forget what it's for. Don't think Spain from my limited experience any more racist than anywhere else tbh.

Think Chile are going to get something from the game tonight. I don't think the Netherlands are all that tbh and they'll rest players I imagine.
