Hahah. Well they don't necessarily make you smarter, but I find most of Louis Theroux's documentaries pretty interesting and fun to watch.
Michael Moore might have something you find interesting as well. Recently watched Fahrenheit 9/11 which was alright.

The San Quentin prison and Miami Mega Jail ones are both great.
Also really enjoyed the Gambling In Las Vegas one, there was one +- 60 year old women that he followed who had lost a total of 4 million dollar to the casino and still came back every day.

I'd also recommend both docu's he did on the porn industry, one was in the early 90's and he did another one last year where he went back to some of the people he interviewed for the first one to see what they're doing now. That was quite interesting.
One bloke was sent to prison for 2 years and another one he interviewd in the first docu had actually hung himself so he goes to visit that guy's wife.

I loved Louis' new stuff on Alzheimers and Autism. They were really well done, and I think they showed Louis' more human side as well :)

Apocalypse road movie, a bit like walking dead but with vampires. Really enjoyed, better than I expected.

Started with promise, the twist was ridiculous though.

Boring!

He did a piece on medicating children on anti depressants a while back, which was extremely interesting. Also, the one when he goes and meets a bunch of neo sizan in southern USA is good

"The Skin I Live In" by Almodovar. Good story, though no surprises and I'm not really sure about the ending. Some beautiful cinematography, too (yoga shots <3)
