@amphibian: very nice atmosphere and drums, love the sub but I felt it peaks a little and takes away from some of the other elements that make up the track. (going off what was in your sig) This might be my speakers though, so I can't really say for sure... over all nice! :D

@QuantumBeat: I think the intro is sick but past that I kind of get cluttered with the highspeed wobbles. If you attenuated them for a feel that flows better with the track and went about thickening it like amphibian suggested it could sound awesome.

@JLproductions: I love that bass. :W: Heavy.

Soundcloud

I could really use some suggestions/critique with this so far.. lots of learning to do still.

thanks @thelmbrjck. Interesting point about sub, I may have to revisit that. Might be 1-2db a tad too loud. Thanks!

Is there some reverb on that kick? Hearing some kind of reflective bounce at the intro from it... buildup is a bit too loud - in fact it's louder than the drop - that's no good. you want things getting quieter, not the opposite :P bass gets a bit too repetitive after the first 16 bars, it needs some more variation, and a few extra random stabs/one-shots wouldn't go astray either :)

@Driptide: Loving all the ARPs and stuff. Really cool clip you've got going there. Drums are sounding pretty nice too.

@JLProductions: DEEP! I'm really feeling the glitchy percussion bits in there.
Soundcloud

There's mine. I'm feeling a bit stuck with this one. I can't seem to get the feel of the bass after the drop to fit my intro. I really like me intro though so i don't want to change much in that. Any ideas? Thanks

Thanks @thelmbrjck I think that's a good place to start as well. This is an older idea of mine that I'm just re-picking up to re-edit and finish the tune but I think your suggestions are valid. Thanks for the input bro!

@ Tripwire

The lead synth is dope and nice arp going.

@ thelmbrjck

This is a good track. Just gotta make it more interesting with the drums and rhythm for me. Sounds like you did this in Reason particularly because I use reason for my drum sequencing. Keep it up mate.

@ NorCoDubstep

I'm a big fan of the synth jabs before the drop. Huge bass on the drop. This track is legit. It'd be good to spin when its all finished.

JLproductions: love the deepness, that bass is sex. Great percussion work and very nice sounds in the background. :D Let me know when its finished
Danimal: Even though it has that annyoing yoy bass I have to say I love that funky crazy sound. When I think of it it remind me of Afrojack but dubstep. :) Keep it up!
NorCoDubstep: Great intro and build up. The drop sounds great, some well produced shit ;) Nice Flux Pavilion type of bass and that arp gives a very nice harmony :)

@thelmbrjck:
Sounds pretty good to me, I really like the intro!
I'm not really into the bassline, but I think that's more of a personal flavour-matter :)
The , I don't know what instrument, gives the song some more melody, which it needed.

@NorCoDubstep
When I listened to the intro, I really thought this was going to be some grimey banger.
The intro sounds very very nice!
I don't really dig the drop, because I don't like that kind of dubstep, but it sounds a lot like Flux Pavillion and I know his basslines are very hard to make!

@Ninthy4
Very very smooth ambiance in the intro, it's great!
The percussive elements in the intro seem to fit there perfectly!
One thing, I would give the drop a bit more melody by putting the 'Sonar' sound in it as well.
That way the amazing ambiance continues and it will make it easier for you to build up to a 2nd drop :)

I'll post one of my WIP's here in a couple of days, when I'm a bit happier with it :)

@ratep - 3 feedback comments before posting plz
@edn - a tad too much reverb on that bass/synth thing at the start. Love the beat however, and the instruments used are freakin' awesome. Are you a drummer? the horn that comes in from around 1.11... where is that from? I could definitely do with some samples like that :D Breakdown is beautiful. Have you sampled the main song/instruments from somewhere?

@ninthy4: Super fat sounds man. Really Noisia(ish) sounding after the drop I really like what the old record static brings to the party as well.

@Danimal: I've always been a sucker for old video game noises. I really like the intro. Only thing I would say is switch up the wobbles a bit. I don't mind the yoy wobbles as much as others on here but some other stuff might make it a tad more interesting.

@ratep: cool reggae feel going on. I like all the reverby delayed vocal samples. I'm using headphones right now so I can't really accurately comment on the drop but I'd say that the lead bass sound could have a little more grit. Sounds like there is a lot of sub in there too though so if that's what you're going for than that's cool too.

heres mine. I added some stuff. Made the drop blend in with the intro a bit and added some spacey chords and such.

Glad I could help a little! Regarding the kick, there is no reverb... during the intro I did double the kicks to create a little speed and energy though. And yeaah whoops! I let the volume get wayyyy too out of hand with the drop haha. Thanks for a thorough analysis and some needed suggestion!

Thanks! It's all FL and Massive mostly lol.

@Danimal: I really dig the structure and groove of your track, but the bubbling synths and basses add sort of a hollow vibe to it, especially the yoi bass. I think it would sound good fattened up a little bit and with a little more high end definition.

@EDN: Goddamn I dig that, it really reminds me of Atom Heart Mother and other early Pink Floyd. Very well orchestrated.

@NorcCoDubstep :Funky lead synth, adds an awesome vibe to the track. The drop build up seems a little unnatural to the flow... but that drop... ace.

thelmbrjck- lol i have that same acapella floating around some where, the bass is nice. the lead synth really doesn't stand out to me. the beat could use a little changing up too. add some more fx and incidentals and atmosphere try to build it around everything. at around 1:27 it sounds pretty good, just need to adjust the lead synth a little.

norco- sounds exactly like helicopter beatdown or whatever it is. but if your going for that sound you nailed it. i dig the arp though man, just be careful on how much it pitch bends you can get some weird sounds with it.

edn- such a good vibe off those drums. im a sucker for good drums. damn dude. its so nice. it flows so well. drums gave me a boner and the atmosphere you gave it delivered the final blow.
Demanding a 320. thats right, demanding :W:

not really sure where im going with this but just trying new things out.

@NorCoDubstep: I was expecting electro house at first but as it started building up I knew I was in for a surprise. and then it dropped, speechless. i love the melodic piano arpeggiator accompanying the bass and that noise that it drops with.

@thelmbrjck: I like the wobbles, it gives me an offbeat feeling sometimes but I like that. I think it would be good to see the vocals from the intro come into play again somewhere with the wobbles. I also think when the synth around 1:46 comes around it overpowers the bass. glad to see those mylo vocals put to use!

@edn: such an epic track, i feel like this can be in a movie! diggin the horns and drums. Are those Addicting drums by any chance?

oprs - cool unique sound, got a bouncy happyish vibe to it. :)

thelmbrjck - Sounds good, has potential. maybe add more intricate drum pattens.. and maybe some more wobble on the bass.

amphibian - Really like it, has a nice super chill vibe to it. I think maybe you should tweak the bass noise a little, make it a tiny bit more grimeyer, add a sub bass layer also.

Here is my song, everything in it except for the parts where the regular drum samples come in originaly came from my mouth, I cut everything up, added alot of effects and stuff..

Soundcloud

It's just a basic idea, the finished song will probably sound a lot different, got a few different routs I could take with it not sure what I'm gonna do yet.
