Arlington Road is a great film! I agree, it's far too slept on. Blown Away is also a really well done film, minus Tommy Lee Jones' bad oirish accent. Quality performances.wub wrote:Yeah, I've always been a fan as well. Robbins' performance is proper creepy.kingldub wrote:Liked this one quite a bit. Saw "Jiro Dreams of Sushi"
9/10
Possibly one of the most enjoyable documentaries I have ever seen, if not the most

Robbins has been in some great movies over the years actually.

I saw this a few months back at a local film festival, a charming little documentary.

I've seen Deliver Us From Evil, really good but it had me seething with rage when he's just walking in public in amongst children.

I didn;'t like Lost in Translation at all...
I recently watched 'Twelve'. Basically a rip off type thing of Kids based on some book. It was really unintentionally funny in places, and is about a research chemical type thing. 50 cent is a total joke. Joel Schumacher is much better than this crap. Even Batman & Robin is better lol.

The King is Dead
a new local film by Rolf de Heer (Bad Boy Bubby, Ten Canoes) set in Adelaide suburbs
kept me wondering
not as heavy as Snowtown...has anybody else actually seen Snowtown?
but then both these films might be too Aussie Bogan for o/s viewers

Scarlett's best movie imo. Sofia Coppola directed well.
Re: Secret Ninja Movie Club (aka what have you watched latel
I think her best was Ghost World, Thora Birch too. Also Steve Buscemi being amazing as always. Terry Zwigoff on point as usual.
Buscemi as the perfect cratedigger
