I think we should all leave three instances of feedback when asking for crit otherwise this thread will just turn into a shouting contest with no winners...

You mean I should leave some feedback before posting my own track? Well got point there.
@NG_gamma Amazing track, like the energy of it!

@ironik, that sounds metallic and rough, like it very much, also like the laughter before the drop, fits very well :)

@thierry_le_dj - nice vibes. drums could do with a bit more to them for my taste, may be some shakers on stereo delay...giving it a bit of width and groove (thats what i'd be doin)

@ironik - being as you've pointed out that you get no feedback i'll chime in for what it's worth  That mid range wobble get's tiresome and harsh, i was listening and expected it to change to a different sound (with the same melody) but it just went on. Kick has no low end...but i like the dubby drums rythmn...i'd be using a cheap sounding spring reverb on the snare with a rythmn like that.

@Akkep - like it but the levels and perhaps EQ sound like they could do with some TLC (i.e. snare up a touch, that lead could go down a touch etc etc)

here's one of mine in progress...feedback welcomed :)

Seriously, the page gets spammed with like 1 liners and a tune, the next thing you know you listened to at least 3 songs so like -10 minutes out of your time, the least you can expect is some feedback for your own tune? nah thats way to difficult for them, fts. :u: It's probably going to be the last time I use this because like 95% of the time I end up wasting time. Fuck so annoying, why can't everyone just follow the rules? Not saying that everyone doesn't follow the rules, but its pretty consistent, I'm fairly sure you can go back probably to every page, and theres gotta be at least a few people per page who skipped feedback and dropped there tune.

Seriously, if you take your time to listen to three plus songs and leave feedback, you should expect at least three comments on your own tune right?'

/end rant :i:

-ogun : the wobble sound is good, but like it is now it doesn't fit at all with the vocals :) as you said you need alot of work on that one. drums were good but where's the hats?

- kaiori : you're one to talk ;), extremely chilled out tune as usual , big up

- GAMMA: i really liked your tune, had a proper purple sound to it , but still different. I'd go and add all sorts of leads & effects / background stuff, cause your tune right now is still a bit empty, but off to a good start. Drums could need some EQ'ing & the hats , MORE HATS :)

- tripwire : yep yep, big sup man, off to a good start

- the_agonist : ah fuck me man , straight down my style , big WIP man. just a tad more melodies would do more for my taste but that's personal. Snare could use some more work too but that's all i have to say. good job

- thierry : imo not your best wip, the wobbles didn't really flow with the rest of your tune , i'd say add more variation to all of them wobs & it'll be a lot better

as promised :)

So this is my first time posting here, and I'm going to be replying to the "Artist" names of people from SoundCloud not their "forum" names, so if it causes confusion, I apologize beforehand.

@Tripwire - "New dubstep" was very chill, and sounded nice. I personally couldn't point out anything wrong with it, but if you wanted to add more to it that'd be fine in my opinion.

@The Agonist - The drop in your "Untitled" track was superb, and from there on out the track just got better. It had a nice tempo and the bass was spot on. Keep up the good work.

@Naider - I hate to say this, but really felt that something was missing in your track "digi unk 2+". IMO it needs more bass, but that's just because I like bass.

Well, here is my track, it is still very very unfinished, but I'd like some feedback.

EDIT: I wish I could figure out how to post the player, so here's a link I guess.

New, real chilled one. Piano bits get a little repetetive, but tried to change it up a little.

@bradicle not my style, but i love the bells. the piano does get a tad repetitive but it looks like you have a really solid track.

@joyzor i'm really digging the beats and the bass. with a solid intro and outro this could be a really sick track.

this is a track I started tonight. anyone have any idea's/likes/dislikes/advice?

@skerpaderp - loving the sample at the beginning, however drums at the drop are a little stagnant in my opinion, playing the same 2 bar loops over and over gets a little dull with no switch ups/syncopation. mixing is pretty good, snare could use some more oomph, seems a little small and kinda pathetic give it some slap! also where are your hi-hats!!!!!???/ This tune needs some lovin, you probably were going to change some of this already as it is a wip but that but there is my critique for ya!

@Bradicle - to be honest this isn't really my style of song but heres my two cents. Cool drums, and the whole tune is pretty well mixed although the piano may be a bit loud in my opinion. I think the melody has enough variation that it doesn't get boring for me at least. I think the one thing it could use is a break from the piano for the love of god though cus it plays constantly for the entire song, which does get monotonous. Really like your snare noise has that dope echo im always looking for! some more love to this tune and it could be pretty good.

@Jayzor - omg worms samples!!!! you rock! good mixdown, nothing blaringly wrong maybe the hats could be a little louder. great sound play in here though. Wonky vibes, not much to critique other than that because it isn't done but I think you have a good start. Once again though not really my style of tune, I like my music dark and groovy.

@gnarbage - This track needs a lot of work to clear up the mud. Your kick and snare are pretty lost in the mix, they need to have more room in the mix than the midrange and some equing and filtering to divide the frequencies so that they will not conflict with each other so much. Also you bass noises need some extra widening, they are kind of flat and do not sit in the mix super well. This will need a lot of work to sound clean, but I can tell you are probably fairly new. Anyway composition wise I would say that I do like the shuffle in your hihats, that is something I struggle to peg sometimes. some good variation overall and certainly does not leave one bored. Give this track the time it needs and fix that mud! Unfortuantely the mixdown is an art that can only be learned through practice and reading, but you will get it eventually!

Here is a track I made tonight in 2 hours or so to see how fast I could make a very minimal composition but have enough variation to keep it from getting boring, Im intending to use it as a kind of sub-woofer test right now. Its got some weird vibes but I hope you enjoy!
