Oh yeah, well he's basically using a replacement effect as an additive one. So like ehbrums said, the original on the channel is
being masked by the distorted signal on the aux. I thought he actually heard the original going down when the aux send was turned up

All of these comments are dead wrong, this is what's really happening and it's been bugging the hell out of me ever since i started producing:
The thing is, tape mode reverses the phase. I've checked, it's true, it just turns the damn signal around. If you want to use it in parallel (as a send) properly, you're gonna have to reverse the phase again, with a thor for instance.

I have never understood why those "Fade In" & "Fade Out" icons are there, because they've ALWAYS been greyed out for me. Never interfered with my workflow in any way, just don't understand why they're there if they're always greyed out.

They're just to make fades. click and drag on the waveform, you'll have selected a part of it, then you can select either fade in or fade out.
I use it a lot to shape the tail of my drums.

Still, the original is being masked then. Nice one!

Anyone have favorite RV7000 patches for use on midrange basslines?
I need a catalyst for inspiration, if you will.
Cheers

Hey I'm a little confused about the rate CV pot on the phaser.
I wanted to synch it to an external LFO and it sounds like the CV sent from the LFO triggers an increase in the on-board LFO's speed.
Is this correct?

my favorite mid bass patch for rv7000 uses the small est room reverb setting with the decay turned right down and the EQ set to roll off everthing below 500hz and a small boost at like 1k-2khz. Oh and like 30ms predelay. It makes things sound well metallic and sickk and that.

The rate itself is already basically an LFO. So what you're doing is LFO'ing the rate of that LFO. If you want to sync the actual phaser, you're gonna have to do it manually, there is no sync.

There was a question, i provided an answer (unlike the others just making assumptions and going "it's probably ..."). How hard is it to check a waveform...

Learned something cool the other day (as inspired by Props new synth in the online store)... you can take a synth and hook it up to a vocoder so it acts as the voice and modulates another synth. If the vocoder were a more transparent this could be a game changer.

Wow coming back to my own problem after more time with Reason im now realizing a simple solution... Pulsar to CV input of combinator then into the combinator programmer and use CV1 to modulate phaser frequency. BOOM

Favorite RE synth? I've been testing Predator, Parsec, Tres, & Viking. I like Parsec, but it is too thin imo, although it has some awesome filters. I'm just trying to find a great synth for bass other than the stock synths because each bass always sounds the same out of each without going through hours of resampling.
