wow wtf i just posted this comment and it didn't show up.... shitttttt

alright here it goes again lol
bradicle: to sum things up again, basically i'd try substituting the piano bits with something else
Gnarbage: kinda muddy dogg, but it has potential! I'd say try to make it a little more filthy too :D
joyz0r: i don't think you should go that high that much man, i'd say bring it down a little and make it deep
LordBid: really diggin the drums and the sub :D not really diggin the main synth tbh

just started working on this remix today, not even half way done but here it is
note: the drums are mostly just 1 loop, havent even started working on them yet :(

@ogunslinger - dude I gotta say that is sick as fuck. that bass is the shit, mind giving me some insight on how you made that bad boy? Pretty sick start I think your hihats could use a little more juice, otherwise carry on, sounds good. Also I think that drop could be more intense, the transition isnt good enough for that awesome bass! rework it a little make it more intense please!

@j0yzor: diggin the idea alot! slight slugabed vibes from this one. i def think you should cut from the high pitches for a bit at some point, but i don't see anything wrong with them being the main body of your song. think you gotta bring up the sub, however (i shouldn't talk though, my sub level is always way too low). loving the "achoo!" sound in the back somewhere near the end! haha

thanks man! umm lets see, the bass is split into like 5 parts which were all originally the same synth, but i tweaked each part completely differently and assigned an eq eight to each synth and tweaked the parameters to a different frequency range for each synth, the eq eight helped boost some critical frequency's I think.

i got my hats from the dnb computer music cd.... lol :D definitely going to change them after i finish up the tune
was thinking after the sweep near the end of the tune i would make it almost airy/trancish for a little while for the vocals, but kinda thinking now i wana continue with just more bass :D what do you think?

thanks for the feedback !

bradicle wrote:@ joyz0r. Digging it man!!! mint how it goes bit more upbeat further down! 32secs, sounds dope, mint little sample, and the achoo samples lol!! Keen to hear some more once you've done :)
Thanks, good too hear you like it :)
Gnarbage wrote:@bradicle not my style, but i love the bells. the piano does get a tad repetitive but it looks like you have a really solid track.

@joyzor i'm really digging the beats and the bass. with a solid intro and outro this could be a really sick track.

this is a track I started tonight. anyone have any idea's/likes/dislikes/advice?
Soundcloud
Thanks!, soon i'll be working on my intro/outro/interlude ;)

About your song: i'ts a good start, but you're drums sound pretty weak. Maybe some compresssion, and a touch of reverb on your clap? And i think a lil reverb on you're main synth would do wonders too.

Good luck!
LordBid wrote: @Jayzor - omg worms samples!!!! you rock! good mixdown, nothing blaringly wrong maybe the hats could be a little louder. great sound play in here though. Wonky vibes, not much to critique other than that because it isn't done but I think you have a good start. Once again though not really my style of tune, I like my music dark and groovy.
Soundcloud
Ye the worm samples fits nice i think ^^, thanks for your comment! And about the hats i actually think they are at a good level, but im listening on a headset now, maybe i'll adjust them in my studio later today.

Maybe ill bring the highs a bit down but i dont know, everytime im producing there are high synths in it. I think its just my style :P

btw, you made a good start with you're remix, i like it!

Thanks! Ye i will cut some of the highs, but it will be the main focus of the song like you said ;) About the sub, i think its maybe even a bit too loud haha, but i will have a look at it.

@Joyzor Great going track. I think make faster drums and simple intro.

@bradicle Well made track, nice flow. Maybe too chilled for me, cool track nonetheless.

@ogunslinger Dislike the vocals, apart from the vocals really nice track!

Here's my track again, made some changes, but its still really unfinished: Soundcloud

@Neff
I like the really glitchy sounds your using there
the song could use with a bit more of the sub or something to grab onto while you're listening, like a extra synth or something maybe?
depends what vibe your going for, but good stuff

@skerpaderp
Its alright, but i would give it a bit more variations in the wobble, like change the speeds or bring in a new sound

@lordbid
its interesting but i think the synth needs to be a little more active and make the track abit more interesting, because at the moment its a bit repetitive, but saying that i think something quite interesting can be made out of it :)

well heres my track

yeah cheers man :) this is a wip thread so yeah i will be adding bit more meat to the mix

and btw your track is a killa i think the intro could use alittle more in but thats just me, its an awesome atmospher but the drop JESUSS I WISH I COULD DO THAT!!! very nice indeed only complaint other than the intro would be the snare maybe add another layer too it? or alittle bit of reverb it seems abit out of place to me at the momet :P but overall very very very nice

nice one man, for the first tune i put up here that really makes me want to get back onto it now! cheers!

your sig tune is sick! nice mix of disgusting wobble and stabby bass! like it alot!

may as well do some more whilst im here!

@swanwickk nice track man, loving the heavy sound! the intros nice, some nice feed back in there and the switch is sweet too. have nothing bad to say really! deffo something i would play!

@ NICORISONE. real nice, i wasnt expecting to hear something like that here! real nice! when i first head all the little snippets i didnt think i was going to be able to get into the tune but ended up being hypnotized whilst writing this! maybe some kind of high or lead could come in. apart from that your production is on point!

@ Akkep! same again wasnt expecting that! amazing though! nice and glitchy! the only thing i really have on this is i think the real high kind of sweeping sound seems abit loud and could be in the mix abit more?

so heres something ive been working on. ive had laryngitis so ive lost my voice for a week! that means all i could do was stay at home and work on tunes! not so bad then!

yeah i'll probably change the snare to a more metallic sounding one, and the intros a little cut back at the moment, i'll add some cool beepy sci fi samples or something ha

@thierry_le_dj: You're meant to give feedback, but I know you give a HEAP on soundcloud so here goes :P

Your opening sound with the big reverb and delay is very nice, though I'd probably leave a bit more space (a few bars) before coming in with the pad. I also think you need to read up on scales a bit, as I find quite often that your note selection doesn't compliment each too well. The pad and heavy reverb at the drop is very nice and I think your wobble is fairly solid. I'd probably choose a kick with a little more top end though to cut through the mix a bit more, or sidechain the bass more heavily so the kick stands out some more. Your snare is also very low in the mix, so it all sounds like it's been mixed together, a little muffled. I think your wobble needs some more variation as well, breaking it up with some different synths would work well.

@NG_GAMMA: liking the deep vibe of the introduction, that kick is powerful! The snare needs some beefing up, probably with some more high-end. I'd probably change the lead synth a bit for the second 8 bars though to give it some variation.

@Neff: Really love the atmospheric intro. The introduction of the drums is very nice. Really well produced all round, though the distortion seems a bit overdone? Still way better than I can do =) Really like the hat/ride arrangement as well!

@thierry le dj, cant get your track to work mate soz

@NC Gamma- Intro goes on a bit and the drop is a little lacking, really like the drums but the wobble seems a bit quiet, too many frequencies cut out, sounds very sparse. Reall like the synth at 1:52 that come in, really nice and detuned, much better than the wobble (in my opinion as a wobble hater :D) The drums really make the piece, theyre great though, keep it going could be a big tune with some more work on.

@NICORISINE- Really like the drums, and the sample fits really well, makes it sound really natural like im sitting in a cave, and these noises are just happening around me, really like what youve got going here, maybe add some texture in, wind howling orr footsteps in the background or soemthing, but I really like it

@Swanwick- the intro is very nice, very spooky, reminds me of spanish horror films for some reason, like catolic chanting or something, really original intro leads into something very wobbly and generic, sorry I'm just sick of basslines like this nothing personal, it's well produced and sounds pretty crisp, maybe a bit tailored up towards the high end, cutting out some of the lower frquencies? but not really my cup of tea.

This sounded really good to me at about 3AM last night but now I'm not so sure
