kagawa is probably gonna play for manu next year, watch out for him, one of the top bundesliga players of the past 2 seasons.

podolski transfer to arsenal is very likely to happen, and marin is gonna go to chelsea. nice to see more german players going in the premier league, but heads up in marins case, he's one of the most notorious divers ever.

Thought the Podolski transfer was confirmed wasn't it?

That's what I thought, I remember reading a while back that they had agreed on £13 million

haven't heard anything official, but yeah, i think the deal is fix and they're just waiting to announce it, because köln is still struggling to stay in the 1.BL and he's by far the most important player there.

Hope they don't think Podolski will be enough to replace Van Persie. Will need at least one more striker

MOTD about to start...
FUCK YOU PULIS... You leader of Orcishcuntbucketfucknuggets.

RE: Podolski - Nothing set in stone - it's a gentleman's agreement as he's
not allowed to sign a pre-contract. We COULD get blindsided by Citeh/Chelski
and it wouldn't surprise me if we did.

I THINK Poldi will be an accompaniment to RvP - not a replacement.

More pressing of a matter for Arsenal is signing a decent set of replacements
in the middle of the park. We need to ship out Diaby/Denilson etc etc.

Theo may be a loss too. Wenger doesn't want the same situation with Nasri again
so will agitate a move away from Arsenal if the boy does not sign on the dotted.
He will only go to a foreign club, can't see him being sold to anyone in the PL.

Rumour is we're also in for Kagawa, but rightly suggested so is Utd, so I can't see
Kagawa coming to the Emirates any time soon. I would like to be wrong esp, with
Ryo on the up and up.

I'm quite happy to see that Benik Afobe MAY be on the bench against Norwich too.

I'm hopeful we get to see more of Afobe, Lansbury, Coquelin, Frimpong, Ryo, Campbell
and Wilshire next season. I really want to see this core set of lads come through the
First XI - I have a feeling they will be our version of the Barcelona class of 2010.

Im still worried about the rest of this season. You can be sure tottenham and chelsea will win their remaining games meaning Arsenal HAVE to beat both norwich and west brom, which isn't exactly guaranteed the way the last few games have gone..

Newcastle i think will just fall short looking at their remaining fixtures

I prefer Hodgson to Redknapp.

1) Not a tax avoiding little shit
2) Hopefully not someone that will just pick "the lads", basically the same fucking squad that has got us nowhere since 2002.
3) International experience
4) Did well everywhere he's been (Hear me out on this one regarding his time at Liverpool: He had them playing better than they are now under Dalglish, and to be honest, their position in the league reflects their squad).
5) Hasn't had money to burn thrown at him over the years.
6) All round nice guy

Forget Harry Redknapp. Guy went from saying that any English manager would be mad to turn down the England job, to umming and arring for months over whether or not he actually wants it. England need big, big changes as far as the squad selection is concerned, and Harry Redknapp is not that man.

Totally disagree

1)Hodgson will not have the respect of the england players
2)I dont see how his coaching methods (shadow play etc) can have much impact on the 5 day spells the squads are together
3)Have you heard him speak in interviews? The man is so uninspiring. Gonna be like Sven was.
4)He plays shite boring football. Which was part of the reason why he didnt get on well with Liverpool coz he wanted them to play the tactics of a smaller club.
5)Hodgson will be crap with the media. Harry would have been awesome at this and its really important unfortunately

I dont agree with many of your Redknapp points too. I dont get the impression he has ummed and arred.I think he was just playing it politically. You dont come out and just declare you are want to leave your club. The only area Harry lacked is international experience.

This is exactly the reason i didnt want him to get it. no one ever leaves the England job with any credit and i cant see Hodgeson being any different, unless he performs miracles with a poor squad

The guy went from saying that nobody would turn down the England job, to being offered it and basically giving no response. Not the sort of guy I want in charge.

Regarding "he wouldn't have the respect of the players", the fact that the England squad is seen as something which is predictable, with the same players basically knowing they're going to be picked is something I really detest. He might not have the respect of the same players that have done nothing for almost the last decade, but would he gain the respect of the new squad he forms?

Regarding the "playing like a small club" thing, he gets small clubs playing well. Got Switzerland to a world cup against all odds, came to within an inch of qualifying for a major tournament with Finland, he got Fulham to a Europa League final, and West Brom are currently about to stay in the prem for the 3rd season in a row for the first time ever, and with a top half finish to boot. With the amount of teams that have far superior squads to England, that's exactly the sort of manager I think we need. We don't have the players that Spain, Germany, Holland, Brazil, etc. have, so someone that has a pretty impressive record of getting the best out of an underdog is about the best we can hope for.

Looking forward to tonights game. Hoping for a City win......which means United will probably win.

Also I can see Hodgson playing the usual suspects. If anybody would select 'outside the norm' players I think it would be Redknapp.

Pulling for Utd tonight.. I'd rather stick with the status quo than see Man City successfully buy the Premiership in two seasons.

What are the chances of a stadium-wide brawl leading to 15pt deductions for both sides? That'd be the real happy ending.

Ah, I think the opposite. The fact that so many of the players seemed desperate for Redknapp to be the new manager gave me the feeling that they thought they were guarenteed a place if he was in charge.

As a west brom fan I'll be pretty sad if hodgson takes the job. He has got us playing some decent consistent football and stopped us from being the "yo-yo" team of old. I think he'll handle the england job pretty well, dont expect miracles from him, quarter finals at the euros will be a decent achievment given the time he'll have and the players available.

In regards to tonight ...
