I can see why can justify spending that amount, if I had the cash at the moment I probably would. But I don't, so I can't haha.

But seriously I wanna rock this shit in the car, where's the CD at?

well I'm going to get the digi download with the boxset, so it's got to be dropping on digital sometime soon

$70???

That's a load of money.
I could think of many things I would rather do with the money but that's just me.

It is likely to sell for even more than that eventually, so if you felt that you had spent too much on the vinyl, you can always get your money back.

And you could keep the digital.

The grammar izan in me is wishing Mala had got someone to proofread his notes on the back of the side G/H sleeve

But in all seriousness, I'm absolutely blown away by the album :o

(it's doubtful there will be copies instore in Australia, and if so only maybe one shop, maybe 3 copies max.. so won't last long at all) that £48 would be looking pretty good to me.

what you should put in mind, this album cost £25-£30 retail, then with shipping it was roughly another £10-£20 depending on where you are in the world.

i paid £43 all up, discogs normally inflate by far more than £18.

Yeah fair enough.......then also divide the extra ££$$ by four seeing as there's 4 x 12"s in the box. Not sure why the first 12" released wasn't included in the box though??

After a first listen Curfew and Ghost were the stand out tracks for me. This album is the way I love albums to be made, flow perfectly and not just full of tracks you can play in a set. Most of the tunes I wouldn't even bother using to mix but they fit the album so well.. Noches Suenos is such a great end to a great album, those vocals :U:

I think Noches Suenos has that old Mala feel to it as well, the rest you can tell are completely new and experimental but the instrumental to the last song really feels like an old Mala tune.. the vocals making it fit in well with the Cuban style.

Mala has really raised the bar with this one!

You ordered the boxset without listening to the previews?
As did I, and probably a lot of the people on here. With something like this, it's worth waiting til the wax arrives, kicking back with a zoot and listening to entirely new music.

Nochas Suenos reminds me of the Cay's Crays remix :U:

I didn't overdo the previews, but I'd never spend £30 on an album that I didn't know what to expect from.

Think I'm gonna have to get the Cuba Electronic/Calle F 12" now as well :)
