emos.

NOT hardcore :)

same as these asswhipes:

EDIT:

imho it's the chicks' fault, they've always been like "omg they're so hot" and waving "PLEASE HAVE MEH BABIEZ<3" banners.

so now to break through and get money, they got to have 2 things: a hair stylist and a "br00t4l" face on each pic

still listening to hc, not going to any shows anymore, scene got fucked up and somehow i'm getting the same feeling with dubstep... too many emokids in every scene

Yes! This album puts me in an altered state of consciousness. It's a sonic representation of dark occult arts IMO. The vocals are so demonic and fluctuating, everything is just so eeeeeeeevillllllll

I really only listen to industrial metal, sludge, and black metal. Black metal isn't really supposed to have a loud bottom range as it would take away from the wall of buzzing guitars. Industrial metal and sludge are all about the bottom end though so I guess I'd never noticed a decline in basslines and bottom end in metal as a whole.

sick of generic chugging in 4-4? 6 strings not good enough? check out meshuggah!!. These swedish badboys play with 8-string guitars and are heavy as frig. ok, 8 strings mite seem like a gimmic but they are filth and a bit mathy - id say 'mathcore' but anything with a '-core' in it is a bit pants atm.

one of my fave tunes - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EBLjLV8AGIA

plus theres a pretty fat english group who were called Sikth. they split up but theyre on a serious metal tip

maybe it's being a producer/engineer i hear the mixes with headroom for bass and get pissed
and everyone who hasn't heard of meshuggah by now is in the dark ages

Metal isn't dead, it didn't die, it took steroids to the head and became Crooked I.

That might've been gangsta rap, though.

There's more to BM than buzzing guitars. *refers back to Wrath Of The Weak <_< Or hell, Walknut

Walknut is wonderful. o_0

Meh, instead of chugging in 4/4 all the time, they chug in 29/8 or something. I saw them at Dour earlier this year, was pretty nice.. I was into them like, 4 or 5 years ago. They're not bad, but they really like to stick to their formula (oddly timed chugging with the bass drum pattern following the guitars and the snare doing the 4/4 thing) so it's easy to get bored of them.

I would recomend band Tool, that is one of the few metal bands which I like to listen even after some years.well I'm not sure about the term "metal" because it is a little bit weird, but despite that very good band.if you do not know this band, try these links, the video clips are sick!!
