If you think about it humans have been watching violence as an entertainment factor for many many years think about the romans. They had raping in that colleseum! I'd really like to understand the weird instinct that tells humans thats entertainment
The fact that the internet exsist obviously has made this sort of "entertainment" more accesible which won't be a good thing in the long run! Lets just hope someday there will be a proper governing body we can turn to and say "get this shit off the net" as of yet I don't know of any.

Yeah a tough topic. Although some painful videos are funny and I don't think anyone can deny that although its the pain that comes from accidents that are funny because there isn't a cruel intent in them i.e. football accidents. Where as people being abused/tortured aren't funny! Or entertaining. Maybe the light hearted self inflicting pain such as jackass or Dirty Sanchez. But I guess them guys have a willingness towards the pain therefore allowing me to enjoy it?
UFC etc is entertaining because people have signed on to fight! They know the rules and the possibilities. But then again so do soldiers going to war and its not funny when they get injured. But i guess there doing us and the intention of the world good (apart from somalia and other countries that the world armies fail to attempt to help...No personal gain)
A tough topic and I could go on lol

Dont think I'd have as much of a problem watching something in a colosseum, Dont know why. Maybe its the porn connotations of watching something on the internet on your own.

it's bin about a week since I saw the two guys one hammer video and i'm still not over it.
I've seen nasties before: Bigley, Saddam and many beheadings (teenaged inquisitiveness I guess) And several nasties on rotten.com.
This two guys one hammer video, however, is in a league of it's own.
There is a line of how far things can go and that video deffinately crosses it. I am a pretty heartless person and rarely am I phased by things, I rarely show my emotions and even laugh in the face of tradgedy, but two guys and one hammer got to me, it has affected my perceptions of what constitutes evil, hell I saw a humerous side to Ted Bundy but I can't see anything even remotely entertaining in that video.
Please let's have this thread removed and continue the interesting discussions, eg: the psychology behind violence on t.v etc in a sepparate thread.

honetly I couldn't watch all of it. I just kept trying to ffwd to the end hoping death would take him quickly. I might be changing my belief of death penalty after seeing shit like this. I've always believed death penalty was wrong just like a good catholic should, but these monsters serve no purpose but to do the devils work. It's a hell of a pickle.
edit:
one thing this video can do though, like someone mentioned earlier. you should be carrying plenty of protection/weapons after seeing this. don't ever let people get up close to you cause they could knock you out in a split second. and watch you back and walk with as many mates as possible. real mates.
I was in amsterdamn drunk with 3 friends and almost got cornered from some street gang. cant stop thinking shit like this might have happened.
also been jumped by a street gang of like 10+ motherfucker when I was like 16 years old. Guy hit me in the cheekbone with brass knuckles. fucking pieces of shit ganged up on me. coulda died. I'll be 35 soon, and I been carrying weapons every since then.

I've been in so many situations that could have ended up bad and yep this definatly makes me think. I walked off on my own for about 3hours in amsterdam cuz my mates were too monged out, didnt even think.

im not quite sure, because i havent seen it, but i think its some guy mutilating his dick with a hammer to the point of "time to get this amputated"
my psychology teacher told us stories about this chick who would heat up a curling iron and shove it inside herself....
theres some condition where you hate your sexuality so much that you want to mutilate your dick/vag
fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucccked up
i dunno what those guys were in it for....
