Variety is the spice of life.
Sometimes it's mad hot and you're loving it and sweating. Sometimes it's just burning your mouth.

this probly because im a chav, but i personally feel the wobble midrange stuff is alot more unique in its style and sound. alot of the medi stuff just sounds like downtempo or ambient techno, its not really new and exciting. at least to me.

i would also go ahead and say the reason dubstep has become so popular is because of the tearout midrange wobble,(or hard melody driven tracks like joker) and not because of the deep medi tracks.

though the deep medi tracks do have their time as listening to wobble tearout for hours straight loses momentum, i still feel the reason people get so excited and amazed by this genre and say things lik
"WHAT IS THIS SOUND" "WHAT KIND OF MUSIC IS THIS" its almost always for the midrange wobble.

peace

Joe Muggs, you are a mugg. You knew perfectly well by making this topic this exactly what would happen, you were just stirrring shit, looking for a rise. congratulations
yeah but I had no idea how tremendously, tediously, ticklingly SPECIFIC this motherfucker could get....

I just thought it was a bit more than "mmm, here's fresh tracks" vs "boregore vs deep medi"

I was wrong.

Hey ho.

id just like to say that i understand where you're opinions are coming from. I've been workin alot trying to switch it up lately, do different tempo's, work with different artists with contrasting styles and do something different.. I'm on the same page as you. It just so happened that all these tunes that I had made at one time tunes happened to come out all at once, i never planned for it. its hard to make a living as a producer, and if i wasn't doing exactly what I'm doing right now i wouldn't be able to pay the rent..Believe me i know where you guys are coming from and i appreciate the people who are still supporting me.. but please stop hating on artists who are doing this kind of thing. Its all about personal preference. honestly i look up to so many other producers for their own sound and some times it baffles me how they do it.. you right, we have been rinsin the tear out lately... but honestly I AM TRYING to do different stuff. I felt i had to say something. So many other producers have so many wicked qualities/styles i wish i could match up to... In the end its all about progression and i realize wobbles arent going to be cool forever, and im workin on doing something new.. in the end thats all i can really do..
I can respect that and understand your position...i have no personal problem with you and you seem like a nice guy but i just don't like your music :D

if people can't separate personal dislike from disliking someones art then they're retarded...

you do clearly have more going on than any of the other people mentioned btw...

i mean surely you can accept that some people won't like your tunes just like there are tunes you don't like....i'm sure you can but a lot of your fans seem to struggle with this concept...

you better not be referring to me man...i have contributed much to dubstep and am fully entitled to my opinion..

strangely the music i love is the music i am positive about....this is balanced by my negativity towards music i dislike...

Definately man. and its all good, i can't really expect everyone to like it... no matter what people have different taste and thats totally understandable! it just sucks that instead of doing something about it (eg. making their own music that THEY like) they have to come on here and bash other artists for what their doing..

For example.. If you feel that tear out is dominating the dubstep scene now, then go out and support the artists (or buy the tunes of artists who aren't producing tearout!) thats the only way they are going to get more recognition for the music YOU truely like!!

I mean yes, there are tunes i don't like, but I'm not complaining about it you know? Instead ill just listen to something else, ez as that! :e:

seriously, how are you guys so set in stone? Dubstep IS characterized by all of these producers, they're all bringing something different. Yeah, you guys are right its tough to just sit around sober and listen to tunes like Swagga or Doctor P's Sweet Shop...but on the right system and in the right place those tunes fucking GO OFF. And as for Excision he deserves more credit then you lot are givin' him...he's got fuckloads of production skill and can smash a dancefloor (and apparently a bunch of shit at a junkyard and then record the sounds) like none other (just saw him Friday).

HOWEVER, guys like Breakage/Krpytic Minds/Burial/Mt Eden are pioneers as well, just pushing dubstep in a different direction.

EVERYONE DESERVES THEIR RESPECT
