better to be part of the ignorant angry mob than than be ridiculed for questioning the foundation of society
Very well said, and a pity that it is so true
Nah, with ancient technology, if you want to build realllly high, you HAVE to build pyramids. Why? Most of the weight is near the ground. It's basic physics.fubar wrote:Pyramids are a truly amazing thing, and the fact that they have occurred in different civilizations all over the world without any connection/communication is also mind boggling
That's not the case. Fire was discovered in Africa in Homo erectus, before humans evolved. It spread WITH humans all over the world.fubar wrote:but no more amazing then the simultaneous invention of fire all over the world
The wheel wasn't there all over the world. It was only present in Eurasian cultures and related ones.fubar wrote:or the wheel or the use of bronze etc, but you wouldn't connect those things to extra terrestrial life.
You're acting as if a glacier covering Bosnia isn't based on physical evidence that is clear all over Europe. You don't have to have been at the physical spot where the pyramid was supposedly built to know it. Just like I wouldn't have to be at Loch Ness to know that no plesiosaur ha survived there because the K/T extinction was 65 million years ago, whereas Loch Ness was created in the last ice age. You're also twisting up the archeologist's actual reasoning. His reason isn't 'because it goes against the consensus' but 'there was a glacier over there'. The fact that it is a consensus, a scientific consensus, matters because it means that no scientist in the field of geology will disagree about a glacier having been there and not just because they hate the idea of pyramids being there.Parson wrote:first post is a documentary showing the pyramids, showing people digging them up, scientists explaining what they've found, footage of the insides, etc etc. they have barely uncovered shit so far because its such a huge undertaking, but there is no doubt that they have found the largest pyramid known to mankind in bosnia.
no doubt.
then in the archaeology article i posted, the guy who has never been there is swearing its all bullshit because it doesn't coincide with consensus history. supposedly there was a glacier covering bosnia at the time the pyramids were made.
ok so who is lying. the guy with the pyramids, or the people trying to defend consensus history?
why would anybody lie about history?
why oh why?
because there is a LOT to history being carefully kept under wraps.

It makes A LOT of sense. These are cultures that worshiped the heavens. In South-America with the Maya.... or the Egyptians in Africa. They're obsessed with the heavens. The heavens are up high so... they wanna build as high as possible.Jungleboy wrote:There is something about a shape of a pyramid that is so unatural for humanity to build in such an early stage of our development. It makes no sense to build something that gradually gets smaller towards the top, its a waste of space.

Its a proposed idea, but the design is flawed.Parson wrote:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pyramid_City

Now, concrete and steel constructions are a thing of modern times. If you wanna build high, you want most of the weight and support to be near the base and less near the top.
Egyptians lived in/near the desert. Obviously, they saw a lot dunes and again, look at what dunes look like? Wide at the base, narrow at the top. It's a naturally reoccurring shape.
The Egyptian pyramids weren't there to store goods. Well some goods (grain, weapons, slaves, whatever, FOR the pharaoh), but they weren't warehouses or living quarters. So why would it matter if it's a waste of space near the top? They're mausoleums that are meant to aid the dead pharaoh into his/her trip to the afterlife among the gods. Hence their location.
thank you, knew about the experiments, but the links came in very handyWonkknoW wrote:alien pimp

I am not saying everything on every website going against the official line is right but these are certainly interesting pictures...the bosnian pic looks man made to me at least
