I'm curious to see his response...

The fact that this is going to be read by a lot of people necessitates the need for it to be a good piece of journalism that doesn't look like a class project to write about your favourite genre of music.

This is a damaging piece of journalism; it's gonna get read by a a lot of people who are then going to have a warped, misinformed outlook of dubstep.

Also, fucking lol @ this.

i'm a freelance journalist and this article is rubbish. :\

your editor shouldn't have published it. you quote no sources.

The name ‘Joystep’ is a dreadful word and I personally hate it with all my being.
You're right. That is a terrible word.

I'm glad your poorly written, poorly edited article is where I heard it first.

its ultimately a fuckup on mtv's part right? sharmaji didn't you write a ten year round up of dubstep tunes for them a few months ago? they should have asked you to refer a decent writer at the very least. even if the issue was them not wanting to pay for the article there are probably at least a few hundred people on this forum who could have done a better job for equally no money.

seriously! I hate it when people have this attitude: if you don't paint pictures you can't have an opinion on paintings, if you don't make music you can't have an opinion on music, if you don't make movies etc....

I don't care or think it will be "damaging to dubstep" (lol @ that), but come on, he could have only used the information on wiki and had a much better article
sub.wise:.

I'd love to be a plumber for one of these people: "yeah, I know there's water all over your walls, the taps in the bathroom don't work and you can't get hot water in the kitchen, but how many boilers have YOU fitted eh?"

Fuck me, allow the hate.
Constructive criticism a fucking alien concept or what?
Big up for writing for a MTV related site gonna look good on a CV, however the article didn't really hold my attention or tell me anything new, but your on point about the future of the genre being bright.
Keep it up.
