I'm sure if you have a small plot no one will bother you. :)
I seriously doubt the average person even knows what a tobacco plant looks like.

Put up some baskets this weekend and reclaimed 4 hours of sunshine from a tree that was blocking out a fuck load of the sky... living in the middle of tall buildings is a bitch!

Still, table and chairs delivered yesterday.. Chimnea on the way.... and now the rain's arrived.

how's everyone's crops? I got some beef tomatoes, fucking loads of chillies, spring onions, carrots, green beans all coming along nicely :)

To anyone growing chillies (if you haven't grown before), if you can't use them all then freeze them! You can slice them when they're frozen and whack em in to dishes as you're cooking as if they were fresh. You can also freeze tomatoes if you're planning on making something out of them; jam ketchup purree etc the skins will break but don't matter.

Nasturtiums have sprouted and have some new pots with Morroccan Mint (nice tea!) and a few other slightly less exciting herbs. Put a wall basket up and we're gonna stick some trellis up and get some climbers.

Sunflower looks like it's starting to bud. Gwan son!

Nice. You know Nasturtiums are edible, too.

Here's a cool article on growing towers of potatoes:
