watched all of high school of the dead and despite the excess fan service it was really enjoyable. hoping there's a season 2 or an OAV besides the one coming with the manga i think
gonna read the manga now since it goes beyond the anime

You guys should check out Durarara! It's basically an anime about Tokyo street gangs. Really cool.

Another one i love is Cromartie High. it's basically about a school of delinquents with Freddie Mercury. All episodes are available on Youtube.

I travel back and forth to Tokyo and i frequently write for Japan-based websites so yeah i will post lots of animes i see in this thread.

Didn't read the whole thread, but the only anime I ever watched was in autumn 2009 and it was "Serial Experiments Lain". Really good watch.

watched the start of it was craaazy

recently saw perfect blue, and was wierd because i saw a few relations wit recent lionardo dicaprio films

during perfect blue one of the many twists was that she was part of an experiment where she was living a completely different life of her own, in a similar way to the main idea behind shutter island

whilst by the same producers, paprika has an incredibly similar idea behind inception, with the whole going inside dreams and shit

maybe just me liking films with lots of colours

if you liked lots of colours, watch FLCL. And also animes like Toradora! are pretty awesome at colour use and though they might be high school based animes, they are way better than most schlock being released today.

Well, the spirit of FLCL lives on in various animes.

Animes made in the spirit of FLCL are:

Tenga Toppan Gurren Lagann

Star Driver

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya

A Certain Magical Index

These animes are made by people who were inspired by FLCL and also people who are involved in the making of FLCL. The humour, the style, the artwork and the inspiration of FLCL inspired these animes and if you love FLCL, you should check out these four.

Too short, but quite inspired. :W:

Currently having a Gintama rerun.

If you haven't watched it, watch it NOW It's basically Ruroni kenshin meets Futurama, and the first ending theme has a kickass breakbeat!

A couple of my favorites that I hadn't seen mentioned yet.

Texhnolyze - first episode can be an ordeal but it is a great story.
Rahxephon - Much like the love child of Evangelion and Escaflowne.

Nah, to me you don't watch an anime dubbed the same way you don't watch an French film dubbed.

But there are really good dubs out there, better than the original Japanese. Especially:

Cromartie High

That's the only one i can think of right now.

Anime that's not corny is like dubstep without bass.

Black Cat is pretty good.
