My dear friend,
Simplify your life and use a tool that is as powerful as Cubase yet far simpler to utilise.
Reaper beckons... It's like Cubase minus the annoying bits with an added decent GUI/workflow to boot.
You won't be disappointed.
You won't look back.

you know what, i did think about it, but i really like elements like vari audio.
and the main gripe i have with it, is the fact that the location of the quantize value moves between the sample and arranger view, but thats not that big a deal really. I hardly use quantize anymore anyway

For those who don't get what I mean when I say:
From the outside looking in Logic is pretty compared to Ableton
Live has only one or two more tracks.. but looks a lot more complex
Please note that I said nothing about the software besides apperance!

since when did a slick, well designed and easy to use interface, making the product more pleasant to use start counting as a negative?
do we all have such small dicks that we only want to master difficult programs for the sake of bragging rights?

I"ll leave this thread now it's wild. But anyone seriously dissing Logic Pro seriously needs to learn how to use it properly. It's not used in the majority of studios for nothing. Infact aside from Cubase find another DAW that's used on a professional scale in multi million pound studios.
You won't find Ableton in any high end studio. Logic or Cubase most the time.
Sack you cracked stuff, purchase a top end DAW and learn how to make music on a next scale.

someone brought up Ableton as fisherprice looking..
and ahh yeah... no!
I'm not saying either is better than the other..
IMO I like ableton's work flow.. but plugins suck.. and I've only heard good things about Logics plugins

The reason you wont find Ableton in a multi million pound studio is because thats not what it was made for..

I pulled both from the web.. first page google images!! lol
I've checked out your screen shots! I'm just say that from a non producer stand point('outside looking in')
Logic is going appear more simple!! IMO
btw you have some pretty tight tunes
