Basically agree with this. As long as people aren't taking the piss bumping their own stuff loads/making a new topic every other day

rwd
and the dubplate.net forum

this forum only came about because that forum got shut down without any warning and people got pissed off. another example of dubplate.net striving for customer satisfaction :6:

future garage forum? how is moving there any different to posting on a sub-forum of dubstepforum? -q-
i suppose in an online sense of things there's no difference whatsoever.

BUT it would be nice if it all got consolidated on a different place

it's a little sloppy over there, as littlefoot suggested. it would be nice if there was a bit more order. with a little work that place could be more interesting than dsf. it's a bit dead.

then those who are complaining about the main dsf board being waste, wouldn't have nothing to worry about. no more "each drop is filthier than the last" nonsense.

i'm also up for this, but it does seem a shame that we feel we don't have much of a connection with dubstep anymore and feel forced to branch off in order to grow our little sub genre regardless or what we think is house or not. we just all share the same values and we are all entitled to a better outlet imo
She's got it nailed.

then let's create one! my only beef with FGF is it's name... i posted that we needed one forum for all this music we are loving atm, and that maybe simply changing the name of this forum would do, but i got crucified so i let it drop

The best thing would to not give the forum a genre based name, but maybe something that aesthetically goes in line with the forward thinking nature of our little demi scene, FGF is too particular... I kinda see this as Future Garage/Funky/Tropical/wierd House kinda stuff. Better without a tag.

if you actually went on the main forum, you would realise it's not as bad as some of you are making it out to be. obviously you get the troll threads but they are outnumbered by the actual interesting legit threads. or is it because dubstep is apparently 'dead'

theres no need for a new forum though, when all needs are met here. to get a new forum up to the same standard as DSF would be hard, and i for one wouldnt stop posting here due to the attractions of SNH, and this little subforum is nice to be able to check out and chat about all kinds of music when the time comes. granted i get pissed off when i post up some new techy banger and all you stnuc ignore it but then what can you do?

checking more than one forum a day is serious longting, and there is already a good moderating team and healthy income of traffic to this site that means those who are interested enough will come across this section and discover awesome new music, whilst still allowing us to avoid having to sift through as much shit as we would have to shift through were there no house section at all. this section is the best of both worlds

then that would leave it open to a broadened basis wouldn't it? there's already a hip hop forum and an other music forum.

i come here to find interesting new music in the same nature as garage, but it's also nice to discuss traditional house/techno (detroit, chicago style) because most other forums out there have shit for discussion.

you say this place is better without tags right after you list off 4 very niche sounds which don't cover the spectrum of house. i think "house" works because it centers upon dance music with empowering synthesizers, like someone else stated, that provoke a certain mood and calmness.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2tGalH3-2B8

applicable to all sounds that people place under house, not just the style of this particular song. ;)

I love it!

Littlefoot's making a lot of sense to me! To the people saying it won't be like dsf, I think that's the point! I love this place, it's been with me a long time and brought so much music to me... It's just a bit different now is all...

it's hardly expensive...

room2 is ideal name because the music is predominately always found in the smaller rooms of raves
