WAV & MP3 are made out of 010001101101
there is no other sound source out there that can fully capture the real waves except....
vinyl & tape!!!

this is not to say that you will notice the difference though.
shit, most people cant tell the difference between the way a wav & mp3 sound,
let alone, understand how the analogue & digital wave forms are made!

!!chea

p.s. bullshit a wav is better than vinyl!!!
The source being a computer almost 100% of the time whihc works in 1's and 0's. I don't think i know of any dubstep that is recorded to dat.
err, we aint talking bout source, were talking about the quality of the end product...

as CLIPZ once said..... "ur chatting rubbish!"

if you listen to one 4 or 5 times in a row, then compare it to the other, you should notice a difference in the 'depth' of the reverb. particularly on the double clap at the end..
Seems the mp3 you have posted has a waveform that's visibly different to the WAV.

I downloaded the WAV, saved it as a 320k mp3 in Adobe Audition, now it looks the same as the WAV. I'm guessing it probably sounds the same too. What did you encode your mp3 with? Maybe this is the cause of the difference you hear in sound?

Some people in this thread should have a read about nyquist. Saying vinyl must be superior simply because it's analog is ridiculous. On the one hand you've got digital formats that give precise YES/NO information about the musical signal, on the other you have a miniscule needle trying to accurately vibrate at 20000 times a second while also maintaining the correct pressure on either side of the groove to accurately decode the L+R and L-R signals into a correct stereo image. I know which I trust more.

The fact that people still fiercely debate the difference in sound quality between vinyl, 320k mp3 and WAV proves that our ears struggle to discern a difference at such high quality. Our ears aren't that great and our brains fill in lots of gaps.

The speaker is where most of the distortion is created, if you're worried about sound quality this is where you attention should be directed.

It's so fun watching you guys argue

You can't argue that it's an awesome feeling when you buy a vinyl you really want, though
