nope, foreign beggars dont even come to close to the level of innovation and originality that US hip has had and continues to have

if foreign beggars are your best counter example then you aint got much in the way of ammo, good spitters, but i jus find them kinda borin

the main reason i get turned off from UK hip hop/grime is the vast majority of your mcs are trying to either be too fast or are trying to do battle rapping.

There's an enviroment for that but generally the US isn't big on that anymore.

Please spout forth this knowledge of otherworldly hip-hop. I honestly want to know, like...to listen to. Not to judge and then tell you you're wrong.

Been too long since I found anything decent from the US.

na man, that album can easily stand against plenty of yank stuff. thing is if you're talking about innovation it's a bit of a loaded game that U.S is always going to win simply because it started there and has always been bigger there.

also outside of the sol.illaquists of sound i haven't heard new acts that have made me want to listen to more than 30seconds of them.

What the christ, since when has XFactor ever been representative of what people that are actually into music like? Do you think people that like rap in England rate Cher Lloyd?? REALLY?? DO YOU??

But yeah UK HipHop is pretty awful in fairness, but then again I still prefer Grime over US Hip Hop.

Really tho? Don't get me wrong the worst of Grime is the most insulting musically deprived sound ever, but the best.... and when you consider the likes of Plastician, Joker, Kode 9 all evolved or were influenced by it. Dark heavy instrumentals. Pretty fucking good.

tbh man, the stuff i like is things like Thirstin Howl III and all that lo-life shit, people like Matlock are pretty good aswell, this isn't a who's more underground contest, but i genuinely think the best hip hop has and does come from the US

Busdriver is fuckin good aswell, some of his stuff gets a bit too ironic for me but i always get the impression that he's so aware of what he's doing he just doesn't care and then he can get away with it, he's genuinely funny aswell

some of the project blowed stuff i used to listen to was cool, aceyalone etc. but tbh i haven't listened to that stuff in so long

my mate was playin me some shit by a guy called Apathy the other day and it sounded pretty damn good, does stuff with Celph Titled

went through a little stage of listenin to Termanology aswell, he's a quality mc and Primo makes some of his beats so is all good

guys like Black Milk on the less 'gangsta' side were doin it for me

just some of my tastes, not sayin its the best cos it aint, jus stuff i like

Just like to clarify, the entire time I've been talking about current scenes. Obviously the best HH has come from the US, but recent years the UK has overtaken.
