Lucky?! I would say that was pretty unlucky
i only say lucky because muthafukkas have been selling it for £400...that is the price range its going for nowadays...i think people need to wake up and realise that some vinyls will be extra expensive if you want to get them from now on...this isn't 2006 and it isn't the 'good ole days' where i'm guessing you could've got it for £20
haha 400, no one would of bought it for 400. People sometimes put records on discogs at ridiculous (£150+) prices but they dont get sold. The one that appeared on discogs for 400 didn't get sold for that price. Ebay is a good place to judge how much records go for. 002 recently went for about £70 I think? I've kept a good eye on prices over the years to see how much I could sell for my collection (Out of interest). The whole dmz catalog has gone up to ridiculous prices since 2009 onwards.
fair point...and i wasn't saying i agreed with those prices...all i was saying as that it was a reality...especially on discogs
and i know noone was gonna buy it for £400, i sent the dude a msg saying i'd buy it for £50
I hunted high and low for this around a year or so ago. Managed to find it in some random shop I'd never heard of online. I did search for about half a day mind.
im still battling to get my copy off discogs from russia... only £7 but have paid about 25 so far in charges, admin and mistakes, and still dont have it in my hands
What? That russkie conned you out of how much? Mate, that sucks. How did you go about it so I know not to do it myself later on off buying discogs.
no cons I dont think, just long tings. matey said he couldnt get paypal. Bank transfers are so long to russia, have to go thru intermediary bank in frankfurt, costs £25 admin for something called a "SWIFT" payment, so allowed that. So settled on western union transfer, just need their name and town, then they can pick up from an agent over there. But russians dont order names the same way as us, gave me surname first, then first name then middle name, so I ended up using this surname as first name then his middle name as the surname - he couldnt pick it up cos the details are wrong, so had to do transfer again (only after the russian doubled the postage cost after he found out about another 'admin' fee). Just got a message saying he got it now and will post it 'when he has time'...
all good tho, totally worth it for this record...cheers Tukhvatullin Yuri Minerafikovich haha
Harsh. Did you get my PM? UPS is international and they have sig confirmation, you could have stuffed a personal check in that and had him send it that way. That is the best way I have found to deal with International deals. I also found out the hard way and tried to pass on the knowledge.
Oh, well, at least you have a story to tell every time you rinse it.

In general, it's the way things are going now, demand is dropping and people want to make sure they sell out to generate interest in the label/release.
Just bagged a copy of this on Bleep for £5.99. Now out of stock again.

fyi SWIFT/BIC isn't a method of payment - it's an identifier for international bank accounts (along with something called IBAN). for UK bank transfers you need sort code and account number but for internationals you need SWIFT/BIC and IBAN
not all banks support it but most will be able to do it for you
