not feeling upstarts, people get on voting the dubstep forum vol.1 comp name!!!
I make music as Forsaken, you can DL all my unreleased (and a couple released) bits here.
How about a new thread only with suggestions and a poll with those suggestions at the end of the day or so?
In my opinion adding names in the middle of the voting is useless considering that the first two choices have a clear advantage and i think we can get more creative names than those featured in the poll.

maybe it's true.. but what's stoping you from posting more creative names here???dubweiser wrote:How about a new thread only with suggestions and a poll with those suggestions at the end of the day or so?

if you look closely this is thread is only about the name! from the first page we debate only about the name of the comp.. that's why i didn't see any point in making new thread and abusing "sticky" top of the forum with this comp..
i started voting after 5 pages of debate about the names.. and now you say that it's not regular and that i should give you 1 day???
but if i see potential winner which didn't get enough votes cos it's added last - i will reset the poll.
ok?

while deciding on a name, we should really keep in mind what's so unique about this compilation.
one unique selling-point certainly is: it will contain music by new and mostly unknown producers.
but another - equally important - aspect is, that it is a community effort of people from around the globe and it will be the first compilation that showcases dubstep producers from the UK AND various other countries. in that sense the compilation documents the growth of the dubstep scene from a london-/uk-thing to an international movement.
i believe this should be emphasized by the title...
here's my suggestion:
"(the) outernational dubstep files"
(a dubstepforum.com compilation mixed by n-type)

What if maybe it has a supertitle/catchline of sorts and then the more descriptive/dry name - such as:
The New Face of Bass: Dubstep Forum Vol 1.
or
Dub Step Up: Forum Comp Vol 1.
also came up with:
Forum Clash Vol 1. (not really to imply too much of an aggresive nature, but more for the dub connotation)
Don't care about the name too much either, but I'm just throwing them out there maybe hoping they might spark some better thoughts from others.
Excuse a noob with his suggestions. I have a feeling I'll be one of the 10 cuts... but I'm already honored to have made the shortlist!
