I have a new version of the site pretty much ready to go and have created auto-update scripts which need some tweaking but can grab links from RSS... maybe I'll get a chance to put it up sometime.
Just tell me what you lot would like to happen and we'll see.
Cheers,
Deapoh.

all the best, D!

Was thinking, there's a greater need for newer talented artists to get the kind of exposure Barefiles could offer these days. Always see artists talking about how they can't get bookings, or being anxious about the likelihood of getting booked without catering to what's popular right now. You could reccomend a new artist per week (or month?) perhaps to give them a little exposure to the right labels/promoters. Stick them on the front page and host a little section about them with soundcloud links, booking info, any upcoming events they're DJ'ing at, maybe have them do a mix for the occassion or a track to download.
Could also be some sort of map feature allowing searches of DJ's and Promoters in certain areas 'cause I always see threads from people in hilarious places asking where all the fans of the music are round there. Allowing DJ's and Promoter's to put themselves on that map could be conducive to getting the sound pushed in new parts of the country (world?) and helping people find local DJ's to play at their first nights.
I dunno, just a couple thoughts. Barefiles already has a lot of recognition so it's should be possible to lunge right in with shit like this and it be a success.

The thought of Barefiles now makes me pretty angry, which is a real shame. Deapoh has a load of my CDs, which I asked to get back when the shop ceased to exist. Offered to cover the postage etc, sent quite a few emails over the years, and he just completely ignored me. More recently I emailed again and said that he can keep the CDs, cos I'm no longer bothered about them. I just requested that he took my old mixes down from the site. Again, he ignores me. Comes out of the woodwork to soak up a bit of praise, but just blanks people asking him perfectly bloody reasonable questions directly.

why would you want him to take down your mixes man? I've heard a few and they're all sick! Even the ones without one of my tunes on! although i can see why you would be annoyed at him ignoring you though don't get wrong..
