Re: Outlook festival boat parties
bit of a random question (cant find the other outlook thread). ive booked festival tickets for me and my mate, and it included 4 days camping, but we need an extra night, would i be ok just buying the '2 additional nights' rather than 2x1 extra night option from the outlook website? i cant see why it would matter but something about the way the camping and how you pay for it is set up has me worried, it doesnt seem very organised and i dont want to be stuck with only 4 nights due to a stupid technicality or something. maybe im just worrying too much haha
Re: Outlook festival boat parties
they said in a quote from Ticketarena that the amount of refreshing and people with multiple tabs made it like the site was being bombarded by 63,000 peoplescattybeanhead wrote:this is bollocks, had to go to the library and do this cos our internet's been cut off... really thought i was actually gonna get a ticket for the deep medi boat party too but im less optimistic now. also how could it be getting that many hits when the festival capacity is only li8ke 5,000? plus i doubt everyone would be trying...
I got all the way to bagging 2 tickets for the Tectonic boat and sat there for an hour refreshing my cart. In all honesty i would of been very sceptical about actually refreshing card details over and over if that were to happen..
Aiming for Hessle Audio and Tectonic. Can't really see them being as bombarded as Skream's, Deep Medi, Shogun tbh.
About the site crashing tho.. Piss take it was just as bad for the extra 300 tickets at the start of the month. Agree with the comment made about shoddy/shady organisation but an unreal experience. Look forward to the week out there in 3 months time!

Re: Outlook festival boat parties
last time you could pay for extra nights at the gate, not sure if the same system is in place this year, emailing the organisers is your best bet.therzbm wrote:bit of a random question (cant find the other outlook thread). ive booked festival tickets for me and my mate, and it included 4 days camping, but we need an extra night, would i be ok just buying the '2 additional nights' rather than 2x1 extra night option from the outlook website? i cant see why it would matter but something about the way the camping and how you pay for it is set up has me worried, it doesnt seem very organised and i dont want to be stuck with only 4 nights due to a stupid technicality or something. maybe im just worrying too much haha
Re: Outlook festival boat parties
did consider that, might just buy the 2 nights. only reason i ask is its cheaper to buy the two nights together rather than 2x1 nights (only a few quid but hey, every little helps haha). i guess it makes sense you can buy extra nights out there, im sure lots of people will turn up unorganised. how do they even manage the camping though like making sure you only stay for 4 days not 5 etc
Re: Outlook festival boat parties
Got tickets to deep medi! were in the checkout when it crashed, so when the site went live again later on, was allowed to continue purchasing them. phew! one boat down, two to go!
Re: Outlook festival boat parties
to be fair it's a joke. toooooo many people on the facebook page acting like idiots saying
"oh it's not outlooks fault".
haha! plums!
After half an hour I had to go to work and get my dad to try and get them for me, he just laughed and thought I was pathetic couldn't believe us numbskulls sitting at a computer giving away our hard earned money to Outlook who are screwin' us!
To be fair he's right "A fool with his money is soon parted"
Outlook should really know better considering they've run this festival for some years, an excuse of more people this year is not valid as they took it upon themselves to increase numbers, it's now down to them to accommodate for that number.
Hopefully we shall all get the tickets we want in the coming week!

Re: Outlook festival boat parties
Just need tickets for True Tiger vs. Vagabondz boat and Swamp81 boat and I'll be happy
Re: Outlook festival boat parties
Managed to get one for Hessle Audio and one for Skream & Plastician's Booze Cruise. Wanted to get Deep Medi and Swamp81 but I thought it was telling me they were sold out. Maybe I've still got a chance now!

You want to go on four boat parties? hahaha
Skream + Plastician's boat get's back at 18:00 and Deep Medi leaves at 18:00 are you really sure you want to buy a ticket for both!
in both respects...

Re: Outlook festival boat parties
Oh no, definitely not. I figure I'll find some way to get rid of the Skream & Plastician tickets. Probably stick with Hessle and pass on Swamp81. There's no way I'm doing more than 2 boats.

so why did you buy them then?acronym wrote:Oh no, definitely not. I figure I'll find some way to get rid of the Skream & Plastician tickets. Probably stick with Hessle and pass on Swamp81. There's no way I'm doing more than 2 boats.

Re: Outlook festival boat parties
That's right...it's Outlooks fault because they really don't want to sell the boat party tickets! They want to keep them all and just send out empty boats with DJs they can't pay for. That's right!!Stuuka wrote:to be fair it's a joke. toooooo many people on the facebook page acting like idiots saying

Outlook doesn't have a management team like many other festivals, they are relatively small and they have upped the capacity and then have to sort through 100s of stnuc whining. Just chill man.
Re: Outlook festival boat parties
Yeah but if they up their capacity than they've got to cater for that upped capacity! They are the ones that are getting something out of upping the capacity(money!), we get nothing but more grief buying boat tickets etc!
also
It worries me that you mention you are buying a next set of tickets when you already have two! Does this mean we're going to be having people buying out all the tickets they can and re-selling them etc!?

Re: Outlook festival boat parties
I'm just hoping to get the Tectonic boat this year, would be a shame to miss it after consistently being on it for 3 years running. Not so sure about the Deep Medi boat this time round, regardless of them saying they won't let it get oversubscribed again.
Re: Outlook festival boat parties
It's not a scheme or anything. If I can, I'd rather go to the Deep Medi boat. When I was buying the tickets the website told me they were unavailable (I took that to mean they were sold out), so I bought other tickets instead. I didn't realize that the problem was with the site itself. Now that I know that there are still tickets available, I'd like to try and get one. I don't think I should be stuck with my backup options if the boat I really want is still available just because the website glitched, do you? If I do manage, I have no intention of selling the tickets back at an increased price. I'll do whatever I can to offload them, not turn a profit.Stuuka wrote:Yeah but if they up their capacity than they've got to cater for that upped capacity! Re: Outlook festival boat parties
somehow got 2 tickets for shogun audio later in the day, really dont know how it got through tbh but i wanna do either tectonic and sin city too, that are directly before. has anyone done that before or is it a stupid idea? there's a 30 min gap between tectonic and shogun so could be done i guess...

Re: Outlook festival boat parties
stupid idea, way too many factors that can screw your allready "tight" schedule
factors being:
* croatian boat crew not paying to much attention at the clock (for not giving a damn)
* outlook crew not paying to much attention at the clock (for being way to stresses)
* you for being way too drunk/fucked
