freakin love this mix

the "bipolarmen" fixes are pretty cool.... a secret alias of the well-known magnetic man..?? ;)

however... tons of killer tunes in here, the second one, that glitchy track (shake it"?), lemon, the skunk tip remix... ah the list is endless.

Bloody hell. Save for the overwhelming indie-orgy that makes up most of radio 1,
House would be my next bugbear! They love it the old THUMP THUMP THUMP.

its alright.

but if my mate who hasn't heard dubstep before says to me :

'hey steve give me an essential dubstep mix for me to check out'

i wouldn't give them this..

that track with the 4x4 hats, kinda pulse sub and weird blue-notez style synth thing is sick though.

what are all of your favourite three tunes on this mix, mine are:

1. Shake It
2. Nightvision (Skream mix)
3. Sine - Us

interesting how well he actually mixes on the mix too, for the stella sesh he doesnt really bring the accuracy, but this is part of the reason why we all love the show, the chaotic vibes!

sick mixing on the essential mix though, proves he has skills elsewhere than behind the buttons

IMO the Slazenger's 8ate Ball is some serious stuff and a fresh breath for me, outstanding track alongside with Jah Hova (Rusko) and that Sine Us from Skream himself, last one both lovely tunes.
Suddenly, there was a terrible roar all around us, and the sky was full with what looked like huge bats, all swooping and screeching and diving around the car, and a voice was screaming:
Holy Jesus. What are these goddamn animals?

One of the tunes in the mix sounds like something John Tejada might produce!

exactly. i wish people would respect the system. people posting up links the day after is a bit much imo.
If you attempt to download from GotDarker as of now, you will submit some statistics to BBC.CO.UK as it will open a connection using YOUR MACHINE so all statistics are unique and the sound will cut out after 2-3 seconds otherwise you will have no idea where the sound is comming from.

I also set up a system so this is easier to repeat for future essential mixes and other websites.

Now is GotDarker setting the path for future online Grime & Dubstep mp3 sharing or what? 8)

Much more postive comments than Goldie's Essential Mix on the beebs website.

It's quite funny to read the small minority of self-important people having hissy fits because the EM hasn't got a big name house DJ for once, too.
To be honest I thought this mix was awful. I'm becoming increasingly disillusioned with the choice of artist for the EM. None of them meet my standards.
