Fuckin hate when people do that. I was playing 'Eat Em Up L' by LL Cool J and during the chorus (which is just a chant) my mate says sarcastically "Wow, this guy's a lyrical genius." It's a catchy hook you tool.say_whut wrote:Goldie was on the radio, mums like "Who is this guy? He sounds like a fucking mong". It was the chorus, dumb bitch
yeah, i didn't mind it, it just kind of seems more and more like he's aiming for that lana del ray / tumblr crowd who wanna see people in fancy clothing do drugs in slow motion and all that shit, which is fine, it's just it seems like asap might eventually be all style and hardly any substance, hopefully not.pete bubonic wrote:I rate Rocky, but the latest video/tune cocaine and purple kisses is dull and out of tune. Yeah, just saw that happen to Kendrick.
Staying optimistic, but hope he doesn't become a victim of his own success.

What, how?? Don't tell me you're one of those people who think he sold out on Swimming Pools...hubb wrote:Yeah, just saw that happen to Kendrick.

Lamar definitely did not sell out on Swimming Pools. The song is maybe not quite as deep as some of his others but he's still rapping about real stuff. I think it's the T-Minus beat that has folk claiming he sold out when really, he didn't. Cartoons & Cereal is on that aggy "trap" style yet folk were all over itMaccaveli wrote:What, how?? Dave proceeds to break into tears as his grandmother's Alzheimers has progressed to the point where she can no longer remember him.

Anyway, I like him more now than ever.
