Thanks for your valuable input. This quote comes to mind:
You can tell the size of a man by the size of the thing that makes him mad." - Adlai E. Stevenson.
Some of you trolls really have a problem in letting something go - why bring up a totally unrelated point from another thread in this thread? Get over it, move on. :W:

And regardless of how much anyone hates me or who's feelings I hurt - my war on stupidity and ignorance will continue.

No, this is a different thing. It's called "educated". You might want to try it sometime.

But thanks for de-railing the thread. I honestly didn't expect people to be this small minded and petty, and start name calling when I post what I thought was an interesting thing about a new DAW. I guess that some of you aren't interested in music production, and would rather just hurl insults. :4:

The funny thing is you're talking about dynamic range compression, whereas we were talking about lossy compression! Dear oh dear.

Hello mate, I don't really want to drag you into this as you're one of the soundest people on here. The thread started ok but descended rapidly into nonsense, it's here if you want to read it!

http://dubstepforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=269246

To summarize the actual argument - I claim that people can't tell the difference between 320kbps mp3 and CD audio. Mainly due to the fact that blind a/b tests have shown this, null tests show mostly wide stereo information and white noise and the fact that scientists designed the psychoacoustic model based on human hearing and perception.

Other claims are that you can hear the difference on a PA system, and that a null test holds no weight. And that there is a lack of bass response in 320 mp3.

All i'm saying is woooooooooow, what a fucking read.
In all fairness i haven't the time to look at who is right and who is wrong but fuck me that thread didn't half go on.I just lost nearly an hour of my tune time for an argument about 320 v's wav.
I'll be serious and say i don't pay enough attention to the science behind mp3 conversion, also don't go clubbing to actually spend time listening so wouldn't have a decent input anyway.
Some good reading posted by yourself and deadly so i may dive in to actually learn something.

Yeah, it got trolled.

Personally I thought that Bitwig is looking pretty awesome - drag and drop modulation in a DAW! About time.
