Not quite. I'm lower and further left.

Re: Political Compass
This has done a few times here, most people that post are pretty left and liberal.

Re: Political Compass
I landed libertarian, just one on right side divide.
Guess some of my personal responsibility, military, corporate and gun views pushed me over even though I lean left a lot.
Odd poll. Some questions were basically are you a racist/sexist

Re: Political Compass
I think there's a similar but more fair/better formulated one, that I took once I'll try finding it

Re: Political Compass
That being said, I did take both in one day and my results were similar, perhaps the same

Re: Political Compass
I think mine went too much into personal responsibility, kids sometimes need disciple/spanking. for bad choices and said corporations while needing regulations they shouldn't be punished for success that pushed me to the right heh.
funny because i'm generally left on most views, but more moderate on some others.
These polls are always jokes.
Hell since voting age, first election and registered green party, then democrat, latest republican so i could vote paul in primaries, then election voted indie gary johnson.
The labels are such shit as non ever completely reps you.
closest I am is a libertarian, just wanting state and individual rights about all without federal involvement.

If this test was anything like accurate most people here would be further towards the centredeadly habit wrote:I think mine went too much into personal responsibility, kids sometimes need disciple/spanking. for bad choices and said corporations while needing regulations they shouldn't be punished for success that pushed me to the right heh.

Re: Political Compass
Yea true politics is grey and varies day to day issue to issue, the media makes it a divided line.
most are moderate/center.
most are moderate/center.
Re: Political Compass
not really? the dsf userbase has always seemed pretty leftist to mesouthstar wrote:If this test was anything like accurate most people here would be further towards the centredeadly habit wrote:I think mine went too much into personal responsibility, kids sometimes need disciple/spanking. for bad choices and said corporations while needing regulations they shouldn't be punished for success that pushed me to the right heh.

edit: but it really depends where you draw the center line. this quiz doesn't really assess your placement in terms of modern day politics and policy, moreso in regards to pure left/right and authoritarian/libertarian ideology. some of the questions definitely could be better though
the "center" position has moved so far to the right over the last decade, particularly in america. half of america is yelling that obama is a socialist while really he's a moderate republican of the mid 90s

Re: Political Compass
Well ok phigure, I'm left on plenty of the polled issues, some of my views apparently for probably a couple questions put me in the rightist lib side (which makes sense even minus gun control issues), but some of the questions seemed to have a lot more points towards one side.
