I care - I would like to know you people...

but if I have to gild all the lillies - I might just kick it all away like a football...

Considering people are so obsessed with what producers look like, lets go full force and criticise their looks.

For one, Compa looks like a LOTR extra.

Of course i kid, but who cares etc.

it kinda feels like a fandom pissing match... and it feels good to remind the contestants that i don't care. So yeah, i reckon I do care about not caring.

But if I haven't seen them at shows how would I know what they look like? I mean I saw an interview with Razor Rekta so I should have known him, and because I've seen pictures/interviews with the OGs, I know what they look like, but I listen to a lot of these people's music and I don't know what they look like.

big up the Getdarker crew much respect to them for that. moving on..

putting the joke of this meme aside.. some of us may not care what the artist looks like but im sure those artist do. imagine spending all that time money and energy to make a name for yourself to attain greatness only in name. Not everyone wants to remain a mystery like Burial wanted, some do want a certain level of fame. Me for instance, i would love to know as i enter a club that i will be greeted with heys high fives and hugs, because they know who i am and what i do for them musically. What's the point if no one knows who you are? if no one cared about it people wouldn't even put their names on things, there would be untitled white labels all over

Yeah, thats a bit stupid mate, like yeah I wouldnt mind people knowing what I look like and shit, but walkign into the room and getting high fives and hugs, thats a bit over the top? Yeah it would be cool for someone to come up to you and have a chat like, but like not some fuckin fanboys coming up and sucking you off. Why do people have to know who you are, most people dont get into making tunes because of the fame, so that they will get bombarded by people when they are out. I dont get what you are on about the white lable business, you can have a release with full artwork and your name on it so people know what artist produced the tracks without people having to know what you look like.

wow :o

maybe because they do it for the love of music? ultimately people want some kind of monetary return from music so it makes sense to have your name attached to releases if at all possible (ie no worries about dodgy samples and legal action)
the people that get into music for the fame, money and bitches are why god awful music gets made. props to you :corntard:

you can do both you know, do it for the love of music and want fame.

im sure if u ask any up and comer if they would like some fame along with people adoring their music, they would opt for that than just do it for the love of music alone.

let's not be naive here people.

I wouldn't.

Not that I consider myself an up and comer, but I wouldn't at all. I'd love people to adore my music. I wouldn't love goons chatting constant egg and dick riding me.

Regardless, if you really care about people "knowing your face" and getting high fives and hugs as you enter a club, you're making music for the wrong reasons imo. You could argue with me, but ultimately it would just come down to a pissing match because it's a question of values. My OPINION and my values is that music should be made primarily, if not solely, for the reason that you love the music and it makes you happy to make the music. Everything else should be a far second to that. Yeah, when you get serious enough, getting signed and being able to support yourself is important, let's not be unrealistic, and also I'm sure it feels awesome to be signed and for people to appreciate your music, but it should be for your enjoyment and love of it FIRST AND FOREMOST.
If you lose sight of that, that's when your values become fucked up imo :w:
