hanatarash? got their tape and a bunch of cds. the evolution from that outfit, through boredoms to v∞redoms is something to beholdwolf89 wrote:I'm going to have to record some of this stuff I've got by Eye from The Boredoms on a tape from the 90s and post it here. It's definitely some of the strangest stuff I have heard and based on all the talk of noise/industrial whatever here people might like to hear it. haha

taters on that as we jack it
Re: Weirdest Music You Will Ever Hear
Nah it's not actually Hanatarash though it does have a track by them on it
Basically one side of this tape has quite a few tracks by eye under a load of different names.
http://www.discogs.com/Various-Garbage- ... se/1000164
as it says in the notes: "9 bands from Angry Noise Fly to Miracle Disco Vomit are factious bands which Eye Yamatsuka dug out, fabricated, organized, dissolved and produced under the name of Hanatarash-master for this project but have not existed, lived, worked any longer or never done anything at all from the first."
actually to be honest there's a lot of very fucking weird stuff on there overall.

Along the lines of Japanoise...
Saw Merzbow and Masonna once. Masonna was cool, the whole show was him playing an egg shaker with a pickup, running into a bunch of effects. But Merzbow was - sonically - like standing inside a 747 engine.

Re: Weirdest Music You Will Ever Hear
I've said it before I know but from what I've heard of Merzbow, I just can't get into it. Perhaps someone could point in the direction of something of his that at least has a tiny bit of melody or structure? He does have a massive back catalogue so I wont write it all off based on what I've heard.

oh, never noticed that one. outer limits is just more, uh, 'out there' stuff i guess. iunnoidontreallygiveashit wrote:post that shit in the breakcore/noise/other thread... drone and noise have been posted and discussed there. What is outer limits?

Re: Weirdest Music You Will Ever Hear
Honestly most of the merzbox is a bit boring
1930 is a good merzbow album to get into as while it's stil very harsh it has a kind of hypnotic feel to it like listening to weird techno for a long time
