I know it's not the general consensus here but I think mainstream DnB a few years back was pretty good, (as in 2000s, not 1990s although I do love a bit of Roni Size and Goldie type stuff)

Hold Your Colour is still one of my all time favourite electronic albums, it just baffles me how Pendulum managed to get worse and worse at producing anything half decent to the point where their Knife Party stuff sounds like something made by a 12 year old who's had a cracked copy of FL for 2 weeks.

Yeah big up Jesus for dying for our sins and netting us a public holiday in the process.

Also, hot cross buns.

Voodoo Ray got to #12
Papua New Guinea got to #22
Playing with Knives got to #4

Three of my all time favourite tunes!

90s dance was FUCKING SICK!!

If we can lump 90s UKG in there then we have a CLEAR winner.

Edit - Born Slippy (.NUXX) reached #2

I don't know what that is.
I gave up on chart music in September 1999 when 'Blue (Da Ba Dee)' by Eiffel 65 got to number 1. I had already been hanging on for too long by that was the straw that not so much broke the camels back as split the MF in two.

And in the '90s we got 2-Unlimited, Madonna's shitty attempts at "electronica" and trance anthem after trance anthem.

Y'all just remember the "good" (meh) shit.
