Horner!!!! SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT!!!!

Nibali kept trying it and Horner prevailed!! When he collapsed across the finish line I genuinely thought Horner might die.

Angliru was as exciting as Ventoux this year.

Cant wait to watch him win in Madrid this afternoon.

Tour of Britain today as well should be ok. Is anyone going to a stage? Should be there next Sunday.

Was really hoping Nibali would get it.

yeah i was shouting "NIBBLES" at the tv when he attacked with 6 km to go but alas, still very exciting, the fog and the duel reminded me of schleck/contador on the tourmalet in 2010

(tbh horner winning leaves quite a bitter taste in my mouth, cos like... c'mon 42?)

but yeah tour of britain should be good this year, seems to get better every time- i might pop along to the ITT on tuesday in liverpool, get to see wiggins, cav, the yates twins and of course the little maestro NAIRO!

did you go in any bike rides when you were in leeds, there are some fun routes out to wetherby and whatnot, though the bike lanes are pretty poorly designed and thought out in the main city.

in holland bikes are almost given precedence over cars. one day!

no i was looking to get a bike when i was there but i never got around to it

plus i would always see red faced people struggling their way up that massive hill from town on the evenings and that kind of put me off a bit lol

york is really awesome for bikes though, there are so many bike paths i can go all over the place whilst hardly going on the road

yeah in my short time of employment i used to cycle back up chapeltown road which wasnt very much fun at all, especially with buses/ mad taxi drivers. It was fun chasing down other cyclists and attacking them after a while stalking behind them.

I think most places are better for bikes than leeds :( i should write to the council or summat.

Thought this thread was going to be about our bike exploits as well.

Just bought a mtb. Have been loving it. But started getting what appears to be tendonitis in both achilles. FUCKING sucks (Just called off a 30 mile ride for early tomorrow morning). Have been doing 30 mile road rides a few times a week, as well as trail rides. My trail technique leaves a lot to be desired.

Some headphone wearing douche cyclist crashed into my daughter today. Nwj almost reduced the world's population by one.

UCI road championships tomorrow should be a good'en.

This is my bike for riding into town etc, had 12 gears when I bought it but the rear derailleur decided it wanted to commit suicide and dived into the spokes which completely fcked it. Always fancied a s/s so just bodged it up.

This is for when I grace the fine people of Devon with lyrca

It's hard to see past cancellara tomorrow tho i really want a colombian to win. Also i kind of fancy marianne vos.

My dad got a proper roadbike for the first time and after riding it and slashing like 20 mins off my pb on my little route, i really need to stop buying records for a bit and save up!

Either you are riding upside down, (and/)or you have extremely long legs.

=====

In California biking related news, was just told that a law just passed that automobiles must give bicycles 3' of clearance. If the car can't provide the clearance, they must wait behind the bike... let's see how this works out.
