On topic though I'm not sure I get these. Not analogue means they're still no closer to sounding like an 808 or 303 compared to loads already on the market but they also don't do anything that new.

Are there ppl that are going to the Brighton Music Conference? Those new 808 b2b 909 and 303 will there, so you can try it out. The prices for the TR-8 are $499, what is in my eyes not that expensive.

I am not a huge analog fan, but if you're gonna release a new 808, why make it essentially a hardware digital VST clone of the 808/909? At least then turn it into a fully capable digital drum sampler with 808 and 909s emulations added to them. Then I see the point. With what we have now, it just feels like it's trying to do 2 things, neither of which very well.

You can deff get some nice jams out of it, but it just doesn't feel like a complete product to me.

Oh shit. You are right. I didnt think about that. I like that Michael Beihn guy. And yes...Aliens is a a Vietnam in space. I find most of the Alien series pretty entertaining. That one when the bring Ripley back as a clone is pretty lame though.

It helps a bit but still doesn't make it that great. It's also technically not a director's cut. Fincher was the only director of any of the films to refuse to be involved in any of the later releases of the films after the theatrical release

Yeah I dont get that. The thing that really gets me is the TB3 apparently has a snyth engine. I would have expected it to just have a bunch of multi samples because it could have been more easily built that way.

If you going to bother putting a snyth engine inside it why not give the use control over it.

I'm sort of considering buying a TR-8. I looks like it would be fun. This is the first time in years that I've even considered buying a new piece of electronic gear. Also kind of eying MS-20 reissue, maybe I should just go for that. A good drum machine would inspire me though. I do have an ER-1 ^^ but those snares never inspired me, it's good for some blipity bloops otherwise.

I'd wait to see what the new Electribe sampler will be like--it has the synthesis engine (just less filter options) that the EMX2 has plus sampling. The TR-8 seems cool...but still a bit pricy IMO. Also the new sounds sets seem kinda expensive. Hoping the new Electribe Sampler will have enough of a synth engine to make perc sounds all on the machine.
