Lame... all the bigger festivals seem to be going this way now, trick is how much they're enforcing smoking bans etc I guess. I remember the searches for alcohol going through into the arenas being kind of strict (had to cut plastic bottles in half so they couldn't be thrown as easily), but I have fond memories of the Roskilde campsite... I hope they haven't sanitised things too much out there.
+ I was at that pearl jam show, so the whole thing is a bit akward now.

Yeah it's going on in the camp site still I reckon.
But it used to have no restrictions. Like groups of topless theatre chicks on stilts all over the place. Bikers in full gear going to see german heavy bands, cops bigging you up and having a whiff on your spliff etc. A cool hiphop showcase with Bobbito the barber presenting new groups like camp lo, company flow, leaders of the new school and black star.
Goldie, Bukem and Roni Size having showcase nights.
But then there was a sudden exstacy scare and they turned their backs on electronic music, focused on just rock and then the pearl jam thing happened and all the restrictions followed.
