Villalobos did the last Fabric Cd its basically just a new album of his in mixed form as everything on there is either his own production or his own remix, as far as this mix cd goes i believe some cheeky bastard is already selling it here:

Takes the piss that someone gets these free in good faith and then sells them on for profit a few months before the release date for mucho bread.

think this release represents a landmark in dubstep. Fabric, and the fabric live cd series is a institution in UK dance music. Dubstep getting recognised in this way means that people are serious about investing in it. Dubsteps gonna grow and grow and different sub genres are gonna grow and grow, and it will more than likely take the same commercial routes as drum and bass. I dont really think this is a bad thing

No. I think this this mix CD is the biggest recognition of dubstep so far. The Tayo mix had dubstep on it, but this is full dubstep. If you go into your local HMV your gonna be hard pressed to to find a wide variety of dubstep. Lots of other genres of electronic music, that are around right now, are catered for but not really dubstep. Maybe this release is a sign that larger labels and names are getting more interested.

Not that bit, but the bit about how Dubstep will be split into sub-genres and how it going mainstream will be a good thing.

Well, i think on one hand the more mainstream it gets, the better. Cos this will mean more regular club nights and more producers, meaning maybe more people making innovations in the sound. But on the other hand the more mainstream it gets might mean it looses a bit of the community vibe it has.
