I've uploaded two track called Zombie and babylon isn't dead wich are 140 bpm based with dubby echo and gabba kick
tell me what you think
The main problem i guess with gabba kick is that you can't put huge subbass with gabba kick as each got huge subbas around 50 hz ...so it's not that easy... you could cut the sub on the bass but it's not a good solution... so i get back to work

Heh. All this back and forth about "to subcategorize or not" is giving me a bit of a headache, but this thread has been good nonetheless for turning me on to some great new stuff (esp. Ohmwerk... wish I'd heard ya a long time ago!)
As long as the mutation happens on the musical level and not the name level, I'm totally for it and don't care if you decide to call it Waltz-y Polkacore or whatever. But the important thing is that people take the music in new directions... the sound comes first. Names come last. Leave that to the halfwits in the press who don't know what they're talking about and don't care that they don't know.

I’m totally in agreement with you
If you categorize your music, you enclose your creativity. In addition, the dubstep is already a subcategory.
The best way (and most important) is to make your own tips and process. Thus, you can get a music unspeakable, incredible, as Aphex Twin, Speedy J, Autechre...
Making his own meta-category with his name.
Sorry for my English

I'm beginning to see the importance of this for my self.
Tbh, there are many types of music we enjoy, but the important thing is that we capture our spirit of the moment through sound and share this with others. As long as the music hits the spot, I guess it doesn't matter which tools or processes are used to create the sounds we listen too.

Not sure why the 'dubcore' sound tickles my fancy though??!

Whatever the reason, it's all good!
Happy '-coring'

The harder the dubstep the better, dark twisted, IDMish Breakcoreish,Gabbish,INdustrialish. Better than dubstep in its normal form illd say.
Never heard of ohmwerk but i like it alot. Nice kicks, every music needs a 'core

I'm working with another band to make music they call Dubcore. (It's hardcore metal blended with dubstep in their definition).
This is one of the songs i've made with them:

I know it's not the same genre you asked for, but i thought it would be nice to post this anyway!
