im saying, those tunes were fucking anthems a few years ago. dancefloors were in a frenzy when that shit dropped.

i don't like their music now but it's interesting how people hate when shit they love blows up. they're opening up people's minds about electronic music, possibly paving the way for new fans.

will have to listen to this later, working now........

Sounds like a rip off of Benga and Coki Night. Sounds like the same break, in parts one of the synths follows the same rythmic pattern as night aswell.

I like the drums. but as someone else said its very much a Benga type soca/coduro house beat and even the riff is a bit like Night. and where's the bass ? !!

I kind of agree with that sentiment, but you can also see why a lot of people who've been in the scene a while get their knickers in a twist. It goes like this:
1) people like older jungle / dnb - sub bass heavy, often rootsy, mix of soulful and aggro, varied sounds and structures
2) as the scene grows, midrange takes over from sub, aggro dominates soul and the sounds and structures get less varied, especially in a lot of what gets played out.
3) lots of people who used to like the old stuff stop listening to DnB. Some of them pick up on a great new genre called dubstep - small friendly scene, again, sub bass heavy, often rootsy, mix of soulful and aggro, varied sounds and structures.
4) Again, as the scene grows, midrange takes over from sub, aggro dominates soul and the sounds and structures get less varied, especially in a lot of what gets played out. This happens at the same time that a lot of people who listen to and make aggy midrangey dnb get into the dubstep scene and start listening to and supporting aggy midrangey dubstep.
5) lots of people who used to like the old stuff start getting fed up with dubstep too.
lot dnb guys who're into dubstep now at least bring their own sound and are really liking the music aswell...

for instance.. just off the top of my head
Martyn
Noah D
SPL
Matt-U
Enei
Mayhem
TRG (even he made dnb before he really got into dubstep)

but THIS...

this is just "copy / paste" the most unoriginal shite ever.. like i said before its just fckn night with some rusko ish basslines... and even rusko is more original then these corporate turds...
cool that its gonna be released on warner but id rather see benga or skream doing it then these wackjobs... just keep making cheesy rock dnb like prodigy does already and keep copying... when they where making dnb at least they we're original...

This is exactly what i was thinking.
yea me too.

I can see it now
"do you like Dubstep"
"yea, like pendulum?"

happens in dnb, people claiming there into it because they like pendulum.

Not got a problem if its a gateway into the sound, but people thinking they are the opitomy and a representation of the sound will be annoying.

I think thats what annoys the dnb heads the most.

Personally i think the tune is toss, regardless of who did it...
