Also, one point which everyone seems to've forgotten is that it's an award for an ALBUM. As much as there have been a load of great dubstep 12"s around in the last year, there's hasn't exactly been loads of good albums about in the genre has there... i mean, come on, you can't honestly expect any other artist in the 'dubstep' field to be nominated for something like this, can you?

anyway, i don't even know why i'm bothering talking about it, it's just a pointless award isn't it. I hope he wins though, for the money and the recognition. Radiohead hardly need it, do they? miserable stnuc.

Actually, did you hear their radio 1 show they did? Weirdly they seem like really good fun, cracking jokes every five seconds (and playing shitloads of good music too, probably the most dubstep radio 1 has had on in the early evening)

Granted though, they don't really need the acclaim or money, and probably don't want it all that much either

nah didn't hear it - what did they play?

i'm only joking, i'm sure they're all nice guys and good fun etc. Just never been into their music really. I like a few tunes on kid a and amnesiac, but it's not the sort of thing i'd listen to normally. I heard a bit of that jonny greenwood solo album though which sounded quite nice.

Yeah i wasn't crusading on their behalf, don't worry, but i get what you mean, i hated them for ages, not sure what turned me onto them

Played some burial, bass clef, south rakkas crew remix of poison dart, along with AFX, Modeselektor (a censored radio edit of Dark Side of The Sun which misses out half the lyrics

) and i think some old detroit techno, can't remember what.

Think they should replace Zane Lowe permanently really... actually fuck that, chris moyles.

I know one of the judges and trust me, Burial was nominated because several of the judges are actual fans....

Been loving the speculation about who he is spreading to the 'outside world'... Loads of people started saying "it's Aphex Twin!" now

Didnt hear this, so just checked the tracklisting - Konono No1 - 'Lufuala Ndonga' (Hyperdub)?!?
If thats true, in a forthcoming sense, massive respect to kode9. Though I expect it's a mistake.
