brilliant film just too long, i wish they hadnt tried to cram so much into it and focused solely on the relationship between batman and joker. You couldnt take your eyes of the joker everytime he was on the screen, just exactly how he is in the comics, brutal and completely unhinged. Only thing that annoyed me was the bit with the boats near the end. Pointless. You could understand the message behind it and the symbolism but it wasnt necessary and it just dragged on.

fucking quality film, watched it last night.

however its defo isnt the best film ive ever seen like ive heard quite a few people say (imdb has it at #1 also), its quality, top 10 maybe but defo not #1.

Heath ledger is fucking insanely good in it though (no pun intended). I can see why people are raving about him, its not just posthumous hype, one of if not the best performance ive ever seen.

sick film defo go watch it!

so i saw it on tuesday. its basically friday. and i still cant stop thinking about this damn movie. it was incredible. def not my FAVORITE film. however. it kept me interested the whole long 3 hrs or however long it was. and i actually had a panic attack/passed out in the middle of the film. that joker is so fuckin intense. i heard 3 other friends went 3 different times and had the same experince. all light headed and panic-y. weird huh. might have just been a coincidence or something...but was weird to me. and seriously if dude doesnt get an oscar, just cause hes dead, for that joker role....then something is fucked up. cause that was some of the absolute best acting ive seen in a LONG fuckin time. i want to see it again and again in the theaters. wont be the same at home. this time i should go not as stoned though huh> ha

in the meantime, i dont know if someone posted this already. but made me laugh so hard.

Haha, YES! Kinda drove me nuts.

But honestly, that was pretty much my only complaint about the film. It definitely exceeded my expectations.

only bad thing about the movie-batman voice. didnt like that maggie gyllenhal chick for that role. and it could have been a half hour shorter. with more joker in it haha.

To be honest, I much prefer Maggie Gyllenhaal over Katie Holmes. Holmes seems so.... vacuous.

Also, I'm hard-pressed to think of a movie these days that doesn't need 15-30 minutes cut out of it. Even though Dark Knight was really long, I was okay with that. It never felt tedious to me.

everyone i went with said the same. "it started to drag a bit"...now im just being picky. if i could say anything bad about it, itd be those things...and i didnt know katie holmes even took on such a role...i dont follow these movies of batman. however...it was solid. i loved it. just didnt like the maggie chicks facial expressions or something...wasnt feeling it. and no katie holmes would def have done worse. i love maggie in everything shes done. even this one. just would not have picked her.

Yeah, Katie Holmes played Rachel Dawes in Batman Begins. I can't think of anything she was worth seeing in.

Seriously tho- I can only come up with little nit-picky complaints about DK. I originally didn't believe the hype that Ledger could possibly get a posthumous Oscar nod, but I'd kinda like to see that happen. One of the best performances I've seen all year.

I think my favortie performance in any film ever was Ellen Burstyn as Chris MacNeil in 'The Exorcist'.

But Ledger was pretty great too.

best bit in the film
Oh my god... I laughed so hard

Actually pretty much everything the joker did had me in stitches, i like how he was pretty much the only comic relief asides from alfred, and most of his humour was ridiculously dark.

Another favourite was the "oh... poor choice of words" scene.

Ended up seeing it on my own due to pretty much all my friends bailing, but was still totally worth it.

Interestingly enough my aunt's fiancee played a ferry pilot, but i totally missed him... yeah, nice one "i'm in the new batman movie!"... whatever
