I agree it's not great to be discussing issues like this here, and it is between the artist and the promoter. If he is regularly not turning up to shows then word will spread amongst promoters regardless of this forum.

But having said that, it must be extremely frustrating for this to happen to a promoter, especially with little or no notice. People have got to realise that 99.9% of promoters put on events for the love! Hardly any money is made in this game!

Infact promoters regularly lose money putting on artists/djs which they love. It's alot of time and effort for little or no return, the only thing you get out of it most of the time is the satisfaction of putting on a good party and spreading the music you love!

As performance fees are quickly becoming the most valuable income stream for artists, perhaps more respect should be shown to promoters.
