listened to dub years before i ever heard dubstep

and to this day never really put the two together, never thought dubstep took a massive chapter from dub

have i sampled dub for my tunes? sure, the tempo works well and the vibe rocks. there are also reggae influenced house tracks, but it doesn't mean house is the next progression from dub.

proper use of reggae tunes can rock the dance, 12th Planet - Control is a massive example, BIG tune. but there's a lot of lame bootlegs and half assed tunes that ruin that sound.

I love dubby kind of music. But to be honest I do also like ravey kind of dubstep. Quite a few of Cluekid and Cotti's stuff is pretty dubby.

Whoa seriously, that is gonna be insane. And for people who don't get the dub influence either listen to mala, kode 9 or the bug until you do or watch dub echoes, that will explain it all to you, sick dvd. It's influenced most dance music and dubstep is one of the more heavily influenced. My dad always used to listen to dub so I guess it's ingrained in my head. First time I actually started listening and loving dub myself was the scientist tunes in GTA III. Those tunes blew my tiny little head right off.

once again the children/ketamine/midrange are ruining this music through a lack of knowledge about rolf harris´s wobbleboard contribution to dubstep
