parson claimed that people not knowing about them as specific example that too much emphasis was placed on mainstream tv. ironically its the mainstream outlets like the BBC and federal B-H TV which he quoted as evidence, and more niche scientific sources that claim its all a hoax.
shut the fuck up and watch the goddamn video. i swear to god you're fucking dense.
take a chill pill, i'm watching it now. so far it looks like a load of bosnians pretending that a big hill is actually a pyramid.

ok, i watched it. i still don't think its a pyramid. a few issues:

osmanagic, who claims to have 'discovered' them (decided they were there is closer to the truth) is just some guy who runs a construction company in texas, who is obsessed with pyramids, and seems to desperately want his home country to have one.

there's an article in science (here) with quotes from well respected archeologists who explain the rock formations he's uncovered; some of the structures are man-made, and that seems to be accepted by mainstream archeologists - its just that they originated from a medieval town which has apparently been sought for some years. the others, specifically the large flat ones you see at the start of the film, are apparently completely normal sedimentation products.

there's genuine interest in the site as a source of fossils, but:
robert schoch wrote:Presently, the fossils are being ignored and destroyed during the “excavations,” as crews work to shape the natural hills into crude semblances of the Mayan style step pyramids with which Osmanagic is so enamoured
also, a big one: assume somebody built these pyramid 2500 years ago. it would have be (presumably) the largest architectural undertaking on earth, and would have taken tens of years - its supposedly 60 metres higher than the great pyramid in giza, which took 20 years to build even with an enormous supply of slave labourers.

once the people there had spent their lifetime building this thing, how was it forgotten so quickly? the romans turned up in about 10AD and yet there aren't any records of them having found it.

how did it come to be covered in a forest (a bit like a hill), with no record of its existence? the pyramids in egypt and central america are still around, but not this one. admittedly the climate is completely different to these places, but that still doesn't explain how the local population allowed what would really be the 8th wonder of the world, which their ancestors had spent an inestimable period building, turn into a densely foliated hill.

either way i can't really be bothered to argue about this; you think it's a pyramid, i don't. to be honest, not only are you free to believe whatever you want, but (well argued) disagreements are the foundation of modern science, so carry on telling people the world's largest pyramid is in bosnia. hopefully they'll do a bit of research themselves before making up their mind either way.

dude that's two sites showing that people can build stuff on their own the size of stonehenge using systems of pulleys and levers. i completely believe that the egyptians did something similar, but i don't get how its relevant to the bit you quoted.

are you saying that it was forgotten about because one person built it and then died without telling anybody? the area has supposedly been pretty consistently inhabited.

if your point is that a miraculous technique can be easily forgotten, then sure, a technique like those on theforgottentechnology can be. but a 200 metre tall pyramid, which by 1400 AD had a castle on top of it? come on.

my point would be that it's generally controlled by people who have a financial interest in a certain viewpoint becoming accepted. for example, the government of bosnia-herzegovina has an interest in there being a pyramid in visoko, so attempts to control the flow of information about it by producing a film promoting the view that there is one.

these pyramids disrupt consensus history. they are not *allowed* to exist

for them to exist means that the house of cards is built on puddle of mud

i heard that it's the same as normal flu, the only problem is a vaccine hasn't been available, but that's about to change.

So don't believe the hype!

I live in Australia and I (and my GF) actualy both caught Swine Flu over the weekend at a Football game. Its over-rated. Its just like regular, all-over-pain, flu with painful coughing fits.

On a postive note, I havnt smoked a cigarette in 3 days (longest ever) and might use this opportunity to get over the cold turkey and quit.

i'd double the bet by saying vaccination will be aimed mostly at younger generations, despite the fact they have the best immune system

let's bet on dubz or something!

Times:
Comment: Mass flu vaccination would be madness
The current threat of swine flu doesn’t justify a gamble on a vaccine that has not been fully tested
Perhaps the biggest concern is the speed at which the vaccine is being rushed out. Research for my book, The Truth about Vaccines, taught me how vaccines are increasingly being released on to the market with little testing of either safety or effectiveness, against infections that are rarely the threat that the Department of Health or pharmaceutical companies (who are finding the vaccine business an increasingly lucrative market) claim.

pandemic flu often kills younger people because they have a healthier immune system.

see, this is how you debunk a stupid claim, not by saying "reptilian" 3 times in 2 posts :]
good info

yet i still think it would've been aimed at the younger gens either way, but now they have a good excuse for it too

Then modern science would be all over it. Scientists love things that shouldn't be there but still are.

i straight up don't believe this is the truth.

find the name of any recently approved vaccine, and i'll bet that medline has a complete archive of safety and efficacy data for it.

ah, so now bosniacs joined the big powers and manipulated information at all scales, while other states (that transformed manipulation in standard procedure) want the truth out, but they can't really debunk the bosniacs :))
