wow. most be pretty infuriating seeing stuff like that.
Twitter is full of jumped up pricks like that. I don't think you're doing it right as a label on there unless you've been insulted, defamed, threatened, or douchbagged at least 10 times. I honestly don't know how Hyperdub take it, year after year. The trolling alone is off the charts.

tbf some of Hyperdub's Facebook replies are pretty dickish, calling people wankers etc, no matter how much stick you get as a label and how dickish people are, you are still a business, it's not professional to reply like that. It must be hard having Burial on your label, almost any release of any record label is weak in comparison to Burials releases imo but sometime their replies seem a bit sour and defensive when people comment about Burial on a non Burial post.

They also approve comments for their Youtube channel, so it looks like their videos have raving reviews.

This just pales in comparison with Burials tunes, Ganja and Natty are my favourite housey tunes don't get me wrong, but i'm not really feeling this.

Burial should seriously start his own label. Like, just go, "ok guys, this is my label." He's already got a huge amount of fans and everyone gravitates towards Burial so he wouldn't even have much work to do.

Does Chemical Records UK usually stock the new Hyperdub stuff in line with bleep & boomkat? I only ask because they have some LHF releases I'm dying to pick up...

They used to just flat out stop all comments, such as on the Boomslang video -

youtube is the trolling capital of the planet, and google doesn't give a shit about it. youtube channel comments are massive spam targets for pharmaceutical and iPhone spam. go start your own channel. you'll see... you have to turn off comments eventually. its got fuck all to do with censoring anything.

also, since when has receiving internet abuse become the accepted way of business for a record label? they don't owe anyone anything. no ones forcing you to buy music.

write a bad review of the song and I guarantee they will not post it, which is exactly my point, fair play to stopping spammers, but stopping opinions is bullshit. I never said accepting abuse should be the way, I said that not calling customers dickheads should be the way, furthermore of EVERY business, it doesn't matter what people say, it doesn't matter what your business type is (unless it has something to do with giving out abuse), you should be above that. I'm pretty shocked you're defending Hyperdub calling people dickheads tbh

Kode9 is notorious for being on the other end of the abuse stick, in case you didn't know. He doesn't deserve Burial.

How are you sure that every person commenting some form of negative comment is a customer? Sounds to me like those people are most likely just trying to get some sort of ire started for the sake of it.

Does a 5 star restaurant have to paint the walls of their establishment with the negative feedback of every customer that thought the steak took too long or wasn't pairing well with their wine that evening? No.

It's the internet, a viral cache of opinions both good and bad, if someone wants to read a poor opinion on their catalog they just have to do a google search and someones two cents will pop up easily... why do you want them to parade it around themselves?

ps. Thanks Pedro!

But how often does a chef come to your house and call you a tnuc for cooking dinner in the same fashion you ate at their restaurant?
