Pi is borderline sci-fi, but it could just as well be argued to be a perfectly realistic film about mental illness*.
Brazil is amazing.

And, thank you. Can we have a subsection for really fucking good comedy sci-fi? Pickings are slim..
*or as parson might say, "wizards".

Fucking sick movie, really well done. Doesn't hurt that Emma Watson is the most beautiful lady alive
Would watch again

Hedley King wrote:'The skin I live in' is a really good film, wouldn't want to explain too much about it- but it's unsettling and well worth watching.
The Man from Earth is great as well, same kinda vein and sci fi as fuck.
Sci fi as fuck? Really?

I'm yet to see barry lyndon & a few others. got lyndon sitting on my shelf but haven't gotten round to it yet.
Barry Lyndon is along with 2001 and Tarkovsky's The Mirror one of the most stunning looking films I've seen. Probably my second favourite of Kubrick's.
@joeki: you should check out La Jetée if you like 12 Monkeys. It's the original short film that 12 Monkeys is based on.

I enjoyed it, (*possible spoiler*) although when they went to the post apocalyptic scene I thought I had gone crazy and couldn't understand English anymore when Hanks started talking. Also when that one dude killed himself some guy left the theater crying.

Gangs Of New York. Such an amazing film, never gets old.
Daniel Day Lewis' performance is so fucking good. This and There Will Be Blood are fantastic because of him.

There Will be Blood: awesome.
