I was happy cos I was in Amoeba Records, but got sad quickly when I saw how many CDs I could not put down. I took everything to this cute and amazing cashier. He rung them up, I told him it was too much. I asked for a discount, he gave me a dollar off. It was still too expensive so I told him to take Jakes' out. I told him that dubstep makes me want to cry cos I spend too much (which is true, I'm not exaggerating). He said, there's no crying in dubstep and Amoeba. We both laughed. He said, he'll take care of me and he'll throw in a few things. He winked and everything happened so fast - I got magnets, buttons, stickers, and I got Jakes' CD. I got Jakes CD!!!
You know that code of silence and only smiling eyes speak? :corndance:

When I got home, I checked my bank accounts and they were replenished again. Payday! :corndance:

This also came in the mail. :corndance:

When was the last time you visited? There's actually a small section now. Not like before where it was thrown in with the rest of dnb. I passed on a few good ones. I should have just bought everything that was there, cos now I'm back in SD and I don't know when I'll go to LA again. Plus, I got paid too. Sigh. I got Skream's for $21. That was a hard decision to make, but it was cheaper than the one I saw when I was in London.

it's been quite a while... I normally just order everything off of redeye (and then wait about a month for it to come...). Maybe it's time to drive up to LA!

But you get vinyl, yes? There's not a lot in Amoeba so you should stick with Redeye. I have decided that I'm going to buy all CDs now. Vinyl would be great, but I missed so many already. My splurging allowance per month would only get me 2 vinyls at the most if I buy the records that I missed.

yeah, i've been playing catch-up trying to get all the stuff I missed. Sadly there's stuff I'll probably never get my hands on (early DMZ stuff for example), but i've gotten to the point where i've got a fairly nice collection of the "classics"... it has its price though, as you know :( . Pretty much any extra cash I get my hands on goes towards vinyl. I've started seeking out way more projects than I normally like to do just so i can feed my addiction...

Was in a pretty severe head on collision on the 29th of January this year. In for a week and left with a broken femur and humerus, but in the following week out of hospital intense stomach pain and sickness for 2 nights. The week later it started on the Tuesday, from that Tuesday until the Saturday night I had slept about 3 hours the whole time and managed to eat about a plates worth of food still with the pain. Dealing with that pain and the sickness every night was outrageous. Been in hospital now again for 8 days, the last five recovering from abdominal surgery which is the fix I needed. In quite a lot of pain, movement is hard.

The thing that made me happy today is being told that I can have soup and sweets! Ive lost a lot of weight from not eating and not moving as you can imagine. It might not be a cheeseburger or a lasagne but FUCK am I just over the moon that i'm allowed something. Its food.

Haha this was not meant to be a sob story but my god, after all this time and the struggle being told your allowed to eat again is just unreal.

Its good that you've put this in this thread rather than the things that pissed you off today thread. Glad you're looking on the bright side mate. Hope this speeds you're recovery as you're not just feeling sorry for yourself!!
