I just watched Gone Baby Gone for the first time...
Ben Affleck needs to stop acting and stick to writing and directing. He is gold as a writer and director and shitty as an actor unless besides talented comedy people of Matt Damon.
At this point I think Ben wrote most of Good Will Hunting.
Best movie I've seen in ages, fuck it's so real and it hit my heart.
The end was all grey morals as well.
Was such a great movie.

I was actually embarrassed to be watching it so i quit after 20 minute. The dialogue was cringeworthy.

Had a similar feeling about half an hour in, but actually ended up quite enjoying it by the end. Might have had a lot to do with me watching it coming down from a fairly huge dose of MD... it was fairly twee, but it was certainly enjoyable overall.

Each time I find it more interesting.

Oh does anyone have any modern horror recommendations? It tends to be foreign stuff that's good, but I'm gonna go see Mama this week and the reboot of The Evil Dead looks great.

These trailers sound like intros to Current Value, Limewax, Gein or other hard dnb tunes heh, and look great.

Waking Life is just ummm weird, it seems like a tech demo. Me and some dnb buds used to sample the shit out of it. The rotoscoped style is what's best about it, it's basically a ton of short or indie style movies and rants made rotoscope style. Def not for everyone, especially the Scanner Darkly crowd as that was more mainstream.
It's a flick for the Memento, Primer, Man From Earth or Darren Aronofsky fans.
Aronofsky nailed it with The Fountain alt ending, probably his best abstract film to date even though I rate Requiem for a Dream higher.

Waking Life is honestly like if SNH got followed with a rotoscope style and instead of us posting on a forum it was just a video of us walking around ranting at times instead of typing.

watched Silver Linings Playbook last night, thought it was absolutely tremendous. Jennifer Lawrence should be an Oscar contender with what was a superb performance.

Saw Zero Dark Thirty as well - a big 'meh' on that one for me...

Is Zero Dark Thirty worth seeing, I had it on my maybe list.
Gangster Squad as well.

Oh and The Hobbit I will give a solid 3/5 if anyone hasn't seen it.
