Snowtown. Great movie, genuinely pretty disturbing.

Incorrect. I thought this was absolutely brilliant. Reminded me a little bit of a modern day Who's Afraid Of Virginia Woolf.

As terrible as I'd remembered.

Image

Good. Not quite up to the hype that made me avoid it in the first place, but Matt Damon's actually pretty decent.

Image

Good, but painfully predictable dialogue at times. Robin Williams certainly doesn't sound like he was from the wrong side of the tracks... ever... I'd take Gattaca over this in the rogue-boy-genius stakes.

Image

Pretty good... perfect bank holiday lazing around fare.

Image

Too good to have on in the background. Tony Curtis is amazing and I'm not convinced Marilyn Monroe ever looked or sounded finer. "She walks like Jell-O on springs". Yes, yes she does.

The Doom Generation, Drugstore Cowboy, SubUrbia, Nowhere, Reality Bites, Singles

Not all laugh out loud funny as Clerks is, but share a lot of the Generation X self reflection of the two.

Thought this was shit, did get really repetitive and boring. The only aspect that was remotely interesting was how they progressively switched sides.. apart from that it felt like a piss poor attempt at modernising 12 Angry Men.

not much like clerks but waking life is very similar to slacker (same director). Its like a dream version of slacker, more philosophical and its done in rotoscope >>
