Revs lost a heartbreaker :( Robbie Keane in the 109th minute to win it. Chris Teirney whos a local player scored the tying goal and then was the one that kept Keane onsides for his. 5 MLS finals appearances, 0 trophies :corncry:

oh yeah and it was Landon Donovan's last game. US soccer's greatest ever player has hung up the cleats

Definitely.

He was apparently not fit enough for a club called OB here in denmark.
They beat real Madrid away one time in the CL btw but still, not a very good club.

He's the single reason that US could become an ok footballing nation.

He's definitely not that likeable or even reasonable in the way he behaves, but it's never like that unfortunately.

Berlusconi is the reason we have amazing european football and we all know how he is.

Løw wakes up every morning thinking how lucky he was that Klinsmann didn't work out, because Klinsmanns blueprint is basicly what Løw has won the world cup with tbh.

But yeah a 'the labyrinth' looking tnuc at the same time

its more how he is pretty much trying to drain the MLS of all its talent. Pretty much if you're an american playing in the MLS and your last name isn't Dempsey, don't expect to be getting any call ups regardless of how well you're playing

Mls'ers imo shouldn't be called up yet.

The league has to grow and until then people trained in other leagues would have a much, much better football education, which is a hard fought truth in the context of american sport tbh. But imo no doubt the right decision. National team success doesn't have a lot do with having a succesful league.

It's baffling that american players aren't adviced to try to break through in for example chile or mexico who have better leagues first.
Let alone Argentine or Brazilian 2nd div.

The feeling with a lot of the better MLS players is that they're generally in their mid to late 20's and don't want to risk throwing away their careers over in Europe, Geoff Cameron is prime example. American's generally don't go to south american leagues because the style of play is very different. I will applaud Klinnsman on his focus towards youth development. However, it seems that he cares more about convincing younger players abroad to declare themselves as US players. IMO he's put way too much pressure on Julian Green to be the next star instead of getting national team experience for younger guys who have already proven themselves in MLS.
