Although the vocals are a bit meh I do like the entire picture he paints.
So in that context I feel the vocals fit nicely.

Yeah, Great Western Laymen was a properly underrated album, Starkey did an excellent remix of Resealable Friendship too

I love Resealable friendship, not a bad remix there either.
Although some of my favorite elements of the tune are replaced.
