you have to pay to slice, to record audio, why not load vsts?

I laugh but you are probably right! Their reasoning behind it, let's look at it... stability - forget it we all have quad cores with 4+ gigs of ram, who care that you can run it on a PDA? Then there is the whole self contain thing which is handy but it is a lame excuse not to support VST. These days you can just freeze tracks or bounce as an audio track for VST's that your partner doesn't have and then self-contain. Really what it is, is if they actually have to compete as a full featured DAW, they won't measure up.Neurotik wrote:You can pretty much open them in anything but. I've come to expect Paint Shop Pro to adapt VST compatability before Reason unfortunately lol.

thats exactly what i was thinking or ... midi sync fruity with reasonDrjohnson wrote:isnt Propellerhead record able to use VST`s? cause u can combine that with reason
or else u should just rewire reason to ableton live, or anything like that, and use vst`s in ableton live, just see it as using reason as an addon itself
